Hayden’s quick elimination from the KOV tourney was a surprise to many whom believed she was able to win it, however it wasn’t surprising  to those whom knew how Hayden’s brain worked. She was always striving and working towards a certain goal, whatever it may be. She didn’t have a rational thinking pattern, which would explain why she’s so deep.

On this night, Hayden had stalked the city of San Francisco, standing high above the Golden Gate Bridge, with the Vast and opaque bay beneath her nose.  The lights of the Concrete Rose continued to flash the city was still busy. Her cloak slowly began to sway; the northern winds had come through and awaken it from its frozen state. Every breath she took was simple and soft, every time she blinked, it was so fast and crisp. Her brown eyes caught a disturbance in the water; a small ripple effect was breaking the surface of the bay.

Hayden’s nose smelled a summer like smell one that could only be the rain, without second thought she flew straight into the city of San Fran. The rain fell like bombs shattering the surface of anything that it fell on. Umbrella’s came out, papers went over the top of the head, and in an instant... chaos. People scattered amongst the streets running for the hills. However there was one presence Hayden didn’t take to very much. That was the feeling that she was getting from someone nearby, someone watching her.

Bookworm was tired. It'd been a bad night. First Junkman escaped from prison - again! - and when on a rampage with giant toy dinosaurs. Toy Dinosaurs. Really. Then, wonder of wonders, a villian who hated his guts by the name of BookBurner, who'd become a villian solely to kill Bookworm, appeared from nowhere to tangle with him. And then he had to help out an old hero-type friend with a super-strong Brass Monkey. That had hurt! And now, on top of everything, this crazy flying chick was terrifying everyone.

Now, Bookworm had been around the block more then a few times. He knew better then to assume someone was a villian because they scared people. Heck, he scared people sometimes, in his dark, monk-like outfit with the hood pulled up. But still... he smelled trouble, and it wasn't just the stuff you normally smelled around here. He'd decided to follow her, just to make sure nothing happened. He crouched on the rooftop, watching her. And that's when the rain started.

"What the?" He cried, leaping for cover. Rain didn't do that; at least, not in his experience. Something was seriously wrong here. Crouching under an air conditiong unit, Bookworm reached into the sixth-dimensional pocket in his cloak and pulled out a hardcover book titled Un Lun Dun. "Yeah, this'll work." He said, opening the book. He placed his hand on the page, and the book glowed. Suddenly, what seemed like a broken umbrella - an unbrella, to be exact, leapt from the book. Bookworm snagged it, liffted it up, and walked into the rain. The stem of the unbrella was proken, but the rest was fine. "Protect me." He ordered, and the unbrella came to life in his hand, blocking the killer raindrops with ease. Now, to figure out what was causing this... probably that crazy chick he'd just seen.
