By Zeon's right, Leonel stood, the features of the Liafador golden boy held in earnest, arms folded before his chest as he waited. Both for his cousin's order, and the ingress of another, of an ally he'd requested assistance from. In silence, the New God waited. In his company, his cousins. Isis and Zeon, the Liafador Rogue and the Liafador Matriarch. Up and down, and with an intensity colder than ice, Leonel gazed at this facility of bleakness before them. God how he detested the Third Society. He almost sneered and growled, eyes of denim blue telling of a spirit that grew more and more aggressive at the sight of his enemies, and none were an enemy more hated than the Third Society.
They'd subjected Catalina to their perversions, run their experiments on Maya, and worst of all, they seized the driver's wheel and drove Reality-M to hell. His teeth almost gritted and his blood boiled, so hot that it threatened to turn his leather jacket's shade of onyx to one of crimson. But he calmed himself, tamed his spirit by thinking first of Tassiana's voice, then Alana's.. then, then the lullabies that Ziccarra would often sing to him during his infant years. He needed to compose himself. He was there as a rescuer, not a destroyer or a warrior. Then Zeon spoke her words, and made her commands. Coolly, the New God nodded, then spoke words of his own. "I've brought an ally", he began, "He can be trusted. He was instrumental in freeing my father and I from Amora's control during Kansas".
"Without him, I wouldn't even be here. And neither would my father". In a smokey mist that seemed to stream in the cold air, Kaylen had arrived, materializing by Leonel's side, adorned in his hooded, ivory Arashikage garments. He was quiet, this Knightfall of suave features, meeting, with his liquid emerald eyes, the joint gazes of both Zeon and Isis before issuing a subtle but courteous inclination of the head. "His name is Kaylen", Leonel introduced, but chose not to unveil his surname yet. He knew of the notoriety that the 'Knightfall' name carried, and how the lives of even the better Knightfalls were impacted by the mistake of their relatives. He'd spoken to Kaylen before, learned of his origin and relationship with his sister. He found the Ivory Mamba exemplary.
Then with her powers over darkness in commanding display, Zeon parted open the facility's doors, and a voice whose timbre was taunting, spoke the haunting words.
'We have no beginning. We have no end. We are infinite. Millions of years after your civilization has been eradicated and forgotten, we will endure'
Words that to Leonel, were all too familiar. He gritted his teeth and in the face of hundreds of husks that hungered and snarled at the four would-be rescuers, felt electrical energy crackle and surge through his body, heating the air with electrical arcs as a foam of blue, superheated plasma enveloped his frame and he dove into battle, acting as a point of distraction, attracting as many of the husks towards him as possible. Leonel was not at his optimum level of power. Recent long distance traveling between galaxies coupled had left his reserves depleted. Even then, he still fought with a tenacity and aggression rarely witnessed. And as he fought, he harnessed the reserves of psionic energy in his personal quantum dimensional state and with it, issued to Isis, Zeon, and Kaylen, a telepathic message.
"Go. I'll act as a point of distraction for these things. They'll want to eliminate the most aggressive and volatile one among us. And I play that role well. Find Chance. I'll hold them off. I'll catch up, just go deeper into the facility!", he insisted. Kaylen's immediate instinct was to object. To leave a man behind was not the practical for a unit. A unit's main concern is not mission success but the protection of its interrelated components. "We cannot just leave you behind alone", the Ivory Mamba remarked, fingertips burning with incendiary smoke, "We are a unit, mano. I'll stay behind with you while they go and search for-", the Knightfall's words however, were cut short. He gasped, and so did Leonel, their gazes, or rather, their glares now resting on a most cringe-worthy sight. Two husks designed to mirror the proportions and features of Maya and Catalina.
And by their instructions, larger swarms of husks emerged and attacked. Quickly, the Ivory Mamba acted. A double-edged blade forged from reinforced obsidian, volcanic glass, extended from a mechanism adorning his wrist's protective bracer. It was among his sharpest blades. Forged from obsidian, its atomic structure was amorphous, and its edges were only some molecules thick. On the cellular level, Kaylen's wrist blade cut between the cells as opposed to tearing them as steel knives do. And with its subatomic structure locked in place by quantum shielding, the wrist blade's structural strength knew no bounds, it was nearly unbreakable. While Leonel held off his portions of husks and fought like a god of war on a quest for vengeance, Kaylen too sprung into battle. Harnessing his typhokinesis 'smoke manipulation', the Ivory Mamba conjured oxygen-deprived smoke around his blade, and with its high concentration of flammable compounds, ignited the obsidian wrist blade.
He cut, stabbed and fought his way through his foes. Flaming blade leaving a trail of smoke in his wake while Leonel harnessed scorching heart of plasma, reducing with beams and blasts, husks to ionized dust and superheated soups of organic goo. He smashed his fists into their synthetic skulls, tossed them all about the facility and shredded their limbs from their bodies. Kaylen meanwhile, again harnessed his typhokinesis. With it, he conjured sulfur-containing smoke, and from its compounds, he seized sulfuric acid to douse the horde of husks in, corroding their flesh and decomposing their molecules. But they were many. And even Kaylen and Leonel found themselves overwhelmed. Though they held confidence in Zeon and Isis' abilities to confront and do battle with the Catalina and Maya husks.
