Goodbye... Brother

Lady Death stood on the brink of all that was living and dead almost in a meditating state.  Her senses opened up to all around her and beyond the stars of the Earthly realm.  It was her duty to collect lost souls and keep the balance of life and death at ease.  Lady Death did so willingly and at times she even broke the very rules to her own will.  This day was different than others something troubled her senses.  After snapping out of her meditative state she raised her hand and opened her eyes into the other realms.  She was searching for the source of the disruption.

Death was casted off balance by a force unknown to her.  Just as she opened a portal to a realm the sounds of a great battle cried forth.  She loved the very sound, it made her breath deeply, and smiled most wickedly.  Her curiousity got the best of her as she went into the portal to discover the sounds origin.  As she left her watchful place only to rise up in another.  No one was present as she scanned the area.  The place she seemed to have portaled into was quite beautiful in design.  Lady Death could only guess this was a sanctum of some sorts, but knew nothing of it.

She sensed a portal open and an unusual energy being displaced.  The very air seemed to tingle with the power envolved.  It drew her attention closer to the source.  She walked down a long hallway cautiously.  Lady Death did not know what being or beings held such power and did not want to be suprised.  She could faintly hear muffled male voices, but they were at enough distance they could not be made out. 

Lady Death crept further down the hall and stopped abruptly.  She sensed the dark energy blast out.  She was not sure where it came from, but she had to know for herself.  Took in a deep breath as she began to move closer to the source.
