The City of Heroes
The nation of Canada has been extremely fortunate in the nineteeth through twenty first centuries, avoiding the calamaties that rattled Europe and the United states over the years. This has made Canada a favourite destination for immigrants, resulting in a population that has grown from maybe a million people to holding nearly three hundred million individuals. One of these havens for mass immigration was the harbortown of Exemplaria on the island of Nova Scotia. But like many such small towns, it rapidly grew to accomodate ever larger volumes of trading vessels, and later to house the industrialists and their factories, shops, and workers.
A small outpost of a few hundred soon developed into a bustling metropolis of millions. By the onset of the 20th Century, Exemplaria was already considered one of the greatest cities of North America, rapidly adopting the skyscraper into it's structure as technology marched on. But with the first recorded Energy X storm in the 1920s came something new to the city, the onset of the superhero, appearing almost simultaneously with a massive upsurge in Mafia activity. Exemplaria rapidly became a haven for this new breed of person, it's people not reacting to Superheroes with fear as many others did, but with admiration and respect. But of course, with superheroes came supervillains.
Giant Monsters, beings from other dimensions, all of these also seemed to be attracted to Exemplaria like a magnet. But Canada's shining beacon has never faltered. It has continued to remain surprisingly intact where as most of the other major cities of the world have been horribly devastated by cataclysmic events. But that could be said as being the story of Canada, a nation that has grown to be one of the world's leading super powers due to the fact that the other nations of the world have grown weary and weak due to the constant attacks upon them. Thanks to this freedom from devastation, Exemplaria has grown to be an almost idealized metropolis. Superhero team bases dot the city, being given as much room and respect as one would give a museum or temple in another city.
Whereas most other large cities are dirty and grimy, Exemplaria is almost immaculately clean. Monorail systems web their way through the city in one of the world's most efficient public transportation systems, while huge advances in technology have been made by many of the city's resident super geniuses, leading to a higher level of technology in the city than in the rest of the world. The ghettos that beings like mutants are often forced into in other cities are unknown in Exemplaria, as is virtually all sign of anti-mutant prejudice, here, having powers is seen as a gift to be admired and adored, not hated and feared. Here, the streets and buildings are kept in pristine conditions by a robot workforce that is rapidly rendering the need for menial labour obsolete.
Costumed vigilantes, fading away in America, are stronger than ever in the city, which has always proudly laid claim to the title "The City of Heroes", and they need to be, as Exemplaria attracts organizations such as ODESSA, Baalzebul's chosen, the GLA, and corrupt megacorporations like the Mediterranean Syndicate, like moths to a flame, irresistably drawn by the temptation of so many heroes in one place. All sorts of unique crime gangs also have territory in the area, most of them having gotten as far as they have primarily by having at least a few metahuman tricks up their sleeves. They'd need to, as there are at least two hundred and fifty thousand inhabitants of the city of twenty five million (only counting humans, adding all other forms of sapient life would bump that up to forty million) that are registered crime fighters. Of course, registration in the city is much less obtrusive than similar bills in the united states, with little more than an oath to hold oneself accountable to the same guidelines as the police being needed. One could say that this is as much a city of adventure as it is a city of heroes.
Major heroes (Coming soon!)
North Star
North Star: One of the first of the new wave of Superheroes, North Star, real name Kyle Van Rienen has been active since the Golden Age of superheroism. Once a soldier in the Canadian army during world war one, the strong sense of morals and justice he gained during that time have only magnified in his time as a superhero. Possessing titanic strength that can effortlessly lift massive mountain ranges, capable of easily moving fast enough to cross the world multiple times in a second, with heat vision that can sear through second grade adamantium with ease, the ability to call down thunder and lightning from the heavens above, and call upon a bit of cosmic power, he's a force to be reckoned with, and is considered an Icon by the people of Exemplaria. North Star is one of the founding members of Nova Phalanx.
Lord Molxivor
Lord Molxivor: An alien from a planet where insectoid beings came to be the ruling sapient species. Lord Molxivor's ship crashed on the planet during the Energy X storm of the nineteen fifties. While he is the physical equal of North Star, it is his formidable psychic powers that make him a strong presence in Exemplaria's hero community. So far, it is unknown what exactly are Molxivor's limits, as he's honestly afraid of actually bringing himself to them, for fear of causing irreparable damage to his enemies. But so far, his psionics are so powerful that he can create telekinetic barriers that can contain a nuclear bomb.
Jarlvord the magnificent
An Aesir from the mysterious realm of Asgard, Jarlvord came to the Earth looking for adventure during the nineteen twenties, and was one of the founding members of Nova Phalanx, Canada's premier superhero team. The millenia old warrior provided priceless tactical and combat insight in addition to his superhuman might which allowed him to physically match dreadful class one hundred foes, while his magical sword allowed him to carve apart his foes and his mystic armour defended him from the fiercest of blows. While he still must split his time between Asgard and Midgard, he has grown very fond of Earth and it's people, and Exemplaria has become like a home away from home for him.
Inertron
One of the geniuses behind Exemplaria's technology, Inertron is the famed scientist Sarah Paulson, who was born with an mutant superhuman intellect, an uncanny skill with maintaining and building machines, something of a healing factor and thus halted aging, and the power to create small amounts of anti-matter. Using this set of powers, she designed herself a power suit that harnessed her natural power to create anti-matter to develop a self sustaining battle suit that she used to naturally, fight crime while she turned her intellect towards bettering the lives of the people of her city. While her suit can muster more than class one hundred might, her true power lies in her ability to fire forth vast amounts of ionizing radiation and a large arsenal of in suit weaponry.
Sea Urchin
Sea urchin: A child from an underwater civilization, Sea Urchin, is a fairly new addition to Nova Phalanx and the Exemplaria superhero scene. While she doesn't pack much more than class two superhuman strength and durability, a modest healing factor, and five times normal human reflexes, what she does have is surprisingly potent hydrokinetic and electrical abilities that allow her to be quite a decent threat to street level villains at a distance. In addition, she can mentally command virtually any form of aquatic life in the world and beyond through her psionic abilities, making her a significantly greater threat in the water, along with her incredible swimming speeds and doubling of physical attributes when in water, and quadrupling when in salt water.
Aranea
An American immigrant to the city of Exemplaria, Aranea, aka Hannah Carter has recently joined the Nova Phalanx as part of their street level division, using her class ten abilities and high levels of agility to her advantage. But her most unique ability is her power to create psionic web constructs that can entrap some of the strongest foes and allow her to quickly traverse through the city on weblines as well as an ability to fire directed psionic energy blasts and mid-level telepathy and telekinesis. She has something of a friendly rivalry with fellow arthropod themed hero the Ant. She's studying how to master her psionic abilities under the tutlelage of Lord Molxivor.
Giganano: A size changing robot that can change from smaller than an atom to an unknown upper limit of size, Giganano is perhaps the single greatest asset the city has in combating the very large and the very small threats, though at base human size it's class fifty strength and built in weaponry and genius certainly don't hurt either. Thanks to it's digital consciousness, Giganano can download itself into any number of bodies in the eternal fight against crime.
Ssi-ruuvus: The Druid Supreme of Earth, Ssi-ruuvus is the most powerful user of nature based magics on the planet, and has plentiful experience with Arcane magics that allows it to make a good claim for sorcerer supreme as well. Ssi-ruuvus is a mighty shaman from an underdark beneath the surface where false suns have allowed reptillian creatures to become the primary form of sapient life. With his magical power, he is quite possibly the most potent of the Nova Phalanx, being able to use his magic to be stronger or faster than them while also manipulating reality to his will and blasting foes with titanic magics.
Star force: Strong enough to lift a few trucks with the power to fire off great beams of energy, Star Force seems to be a walking throwback to less savory eras of costume design, but in actuality is very much a true blue kind of Hero. With armor and force fields to enhance his body, Star Force helps out the lower end of the metahuman bracket by offering up his great wisdom, wisdom he could earn thanks not only due to his durability, but a potent regenerative ability that's saved his hide more than a few times.
Major villains (Coming soon!)
Vorgon
Vorgon the Conqueror: An elemental spirit contained within an seemingly indestructible magical suit of armour with virtually unlimited strength and terrifying energy rays and massively formadible control over all four classical elements, Vorgon is the city's most frequent nemesis. First appearing in the 1930s following a resident magic based supergroup's bungled attempt at calling forth beings from the Elemental plane of Earth to aid them in defeating a Black hand detatchment. Vorgon lead it's elemental army on a rampage throughout the city, only for the Nova Phalanx to repel it. Time and time again has Vorgon tried to destroy Exemplaria, the Elemental lord's rage towards the city growing more and more intense with each time, but to date he has never succeeded.
Night-slasher
Night slasher: A former hero turned villain by repeated, extremely low level exposure to Dark Glass Radiation that altered his mental state, Night slasher once went by the name of "Hopeclaw" before renouncing his once heroic ways as he was caught by the jaws of madness. His healing factor, iron-vibranium skeleton, and energized claws along with a series of fiendish gadgets and a disturbingly keen mind make him a dangerous threat to street level heroes as he lashes out at a world in a fit of paranoid schizofrenia. So far, this bloody butcherer has killed hundreds, and rumors circulate that he may even begin bending knee to Vorgon.
Cadmus
Cadmus: An ODESSA agent with class seventy five strength and even greater durability along with a potent healing factor and a seeming immunity to pain and access to chemicals that can make him even stronger so long as they continue to flow into his body. Cadmus is a racist terrorist who has long proven to be a grave menace to the solidarity of the city of Exemplaria. But despite his great power, superhuman speed, agility, and fighting skills, his most formadible weapon is his highly intelligent mind, which has among other things, crafted for him a powerful form of armour which greatly reduces incoming impacts and makes him nearly immune to cutting attacks. Whether or not he is of German descent is unknown, but ODESSA clearly values him highly.
Red Widow
A Black hand commando, Red Widow is part of Ishmael Caliborn's lethal shadow cult, and is stationed in Exemplaria to function as a deadly murderer and killer. While her physicality is only at a class five level, her lethal array of skills, greatly heighthened agility, det packs, and extremely high powered twin supercharged particle beam pistols, along with some of the most advanced cloaking technology in the world and a high powered healing factor, makes her a deadly opponent in the streets of the city. Typically, her appearance means that the Black hand has a vested interest in seeing her target dead, which is quite rare as the black hand is currently uninterested in Earth.
Gragvorl
An Ogre from Tir Na Nog Gragvorl is a tremendously strong brick of a foe whose magical fists greatly enhance it's already mighty class one hundred thousand plus hitting power that gets stronger and tougher as it gets angrier, while it's helmet provides it formadible protection against mental attacks. While it is already tremendously durable, it is further bolstered by an incredible healing factor and a seeming immunity to pain, along with a incredibly tough armour and massive size; standing at over twelve feet tall. Gragvorl is surprisingly swift for something of it's size, reacting fifteen times more quickly than a human would.
Aliss
A fickle air elemental from the elemental plane of air, Aliss is a threat to the city thanks to her colossal aerokinetic abilities and incredible durability and speed. She is indeed quite strong, but generally, it is her ability to make use of the Red Miles, relativistic winds contained in red tendrils of wind current that are so fast and swift that not only can they cut through just about anything, but are so hot that they have become quark gluon plasma that is incredibly electrically charged. Additionally, her aerokinetic abilities give her a tremendous amount of control over the weather. She claims that she is the consort of Vorgon, and the two certainly seem to work together a lot.
Grand Vernifex
A Diabolist who was enclosed in the Earth thousands of years before the Sumerians rose by the Ordo Astartes before they left earth and founded the Chosen of Baalzebul. While their underground city of Begorane encompasses much of the eastern seaboard and continental shelf, it has two nexuses, one in the carribean and one of course in Exemplaria. As the great Vernifex, Orgmal was the head of the religion and protocivilization that thought it could mess with the starbourne Imperium, and turned to pacts with the lower planes to try and fight their grossly superior force. But when the Imperium responded with orbital bombardment, they were sealed deep underground and then enclosed with mighty magic, and for failing in their bargain they were stripped of living bodies by the fiends they bargained with. Now he seeks freedom for his people and the foundations of a new empire in the stars to have revenge against the Chironaxi with the Chosen of Baalzebul at his beck and call.
The War troll: A rapidly regenerating creature with tremendous strength, skill of arms, and Uru equipment, the only true weakness of the War Troll is it's vulnerability to fire and acid, which deal more damage to it and are harder for it to heal. Otherwise, this strong, fast, and skilled monstrosity can carve most foes apart like turkeys on Thanksgiving.
Quickdraw: Definitely as fast as Razzle dazzle, Quickdraw's main difference is that where her secondary powers primarily concern themselves with light, he primarily utilizes electricity. And like Razzle-Dazzle, he uses his genius and accelerated mind to formulate ingenius methods of breaking the law and those who oppose him. But so far his arrogance has prevented him from working in a team that could have let him fight Nova Phalanx rather than face defeat so much.
Two gun show: Armed with dual gauss pistols, two gun show is a cyborg mercenary who has walked all corners of life all over the world, but now sells himself out to the highest bidder, where he can demonstrate the terror of someone with such powerful pistols who can react fifty times faster than any human while still having the class five metahuman strength to hold his own in melee should it come to that. His advanced self repair abilities though, have begun consuming more and more of his body as he takes injuries.
Inker's woe: Living ink and tar, Inker's woe is a tremendously potent monster with class 90 metahuman strength, sixty times normal human reflexes, regenerative powers, immunity to pain, the ability to lash out with tentacles formed out of it's overall mass or vomit out large amounts of acid, but a shocking vulnerability to heat and seeming lack of true sapience, causing it to be regarded largely as just a murderous monster
Mind's eye: A burgeoning young psion with a very much questionable taste in clothing, Mind's Eye at first tried to be a hero, but she found that she was getting ignored in favor of others because her desire to seek attention often meant putting people at risk. After a year or two, she had enough and started a slide into villainy, eventually causing her first murder all out of a desire for people to notice her more. Now they do notice the telepath/telekine, they do notice her abilities to shove a tank or rip apart the minds of everyone in an office building. But yet, there are bigger, badder villains who get the attention and that just gets her mad.
Recurring Kaiju (Coming soon!)
The Tarrasque
The Tarrasque: Once every week, the Tarrasque emerges from it's hidden lair beneath the Earth and attacks all in sight, rampaging across the island of Nova Scotia like an unstoppable wrecking ball of destruction. Nothing so far has proven capable of killing the Tarrasque, all injuries that somehow manage to pierce it's incredibly tough, almost magic immune hide being healed within the blink of an eye. Luckily, the Tarrasque posseses only animalistic intelligence, and can be lured away with offers of food, and so an effective method of keeping the dreaded beast away from populated areas has been devised. The beast is generally thought to be a punishment visited upon man by the Celtic gods, which would explain why it posseses disintegration rays it can fire out of it's eyes and can belch forth hellfire.
Jurassik
A hellish merging of crustacean, troll, and cephalopod created by ODESSA, Jurassik is a colossal beast that dwells in the seas nearby Exemplaria. Not only does the creature have terrifying strength, blistering radiation beams from it's eyes and mouth, terrifying lightning powers that it can summon at will, and hydrokinesis, but it is also virtually invulnerable with a colossally thick hide and an incredible healing factor. The creature is a testament to the Nazi's determination to bring vengenace upon the allies long after the second world war. Virtually every time Jurassik has been spotted, terrible destruction has been wrought shortly thereafter, but it has always been beaten back into the seas.
Uldfroz
A colossal monstrosity from the nine realms of the Aesir, Uldfroz is a magical titan of tremendous power and seemingly limitless strength. It's deadly magical attacks further enhance it's already stupendous lethality, meaning even those who try to attack it from a distance are not safe in the slightest. Uldfroz's hide is indestructible, and the only seeming way to cause it physical damage is to attack it from within, though even then, it still has a highly impressive ability to heal and recover from injuries, though it needs quite a lot of time to recover from enough damage to incapacitate it.
Marvakanir
A demon from the Abyss itself, summoned forth by the Chosen of Baalzebul, this beast lets terrible doom and despair be known as it unleashes unspeakable hellfire and dark magics upon the peoples of Exemplaria. Unlike many other giant monsters, Marvakanir is actually fully sapient and intelligent, he is simply very large and destructive. Often he has appeared in the city, and never has he been repelled without great cost. Especially since the creature's body hides wings that can allow it to fly.
Blade runner: A massive creature with a horn and back armor made of reinforced adamantium-vibranium that can shear or pierce through virtually any defense, Blade Runner is an amphibious creature originally from the Pacific ocean, having made it's way to the atlantic by smashing straight through the Panama canal to unleash it's terrible wrath. It's primary ranged weapon is a sonic screech that it can focus or disperse as much as it pleases, while it's Adamantium-vibranium bones form the basis of rapidly regenerating flesh. Luckily, it has a weakness to electricity that the city can use to repel the otherwise nearly indestructible creature. It can also deploy wings and fly.
Igneous: Born from a volcano infused with a massive dark glass crystal, Igneous is an elemental monstrosity of both fire and earth, and because it was born from Dark Glass, it constantly emits the radiation. Launching vast rivers of fire and superheated magma as it's primary ranged attack as well as demonstrating great geokinetic and pyrokinetic powers, Igneous is also surprisingly fast with it's own devastating and hard hitting array of attacks, including causing a volcanic eruption wherever and whenever it pleases. To repel it, it's antithesis, cold is usually used in the form of powerful freeze rays. But so long as it has access to heat and rock, it can regenerate almost instantly
Teradine: An alien creature made from rapidly regenerating organic Vibranium, Teradine is one of the hardest monsters to seriously injure in any meaningful fashion. But it's powerful psionic powers are what makes it so deadly, Biomancy, Divinitation, Telepathy, Telekinesis, Pyromancy, it knows it all and it is very willing to use it to cause colossal amounts of destruction, it's claws are made from anti-metals that rip through virtually any sort of defense possible while it's body is capable of seemingly impossible feats of agility and strength while it's biomancy allows it to warp it's own flesh into whatever it wishes, and by creating wings and/or using telekinesis, it is also able to fly. It's shoulder conceals a massive bio-plasma caster cannon that can tear through entire armies while it's mouth can spew a bioplasma net.
Common foes (WIP)
The Cult of the Black Hand: The Black Hand is a shadowy presence within the city, it's presence felt, but almost never seen.
ODESSA: A holdover from the Nazi regime, ODESSA continues to peddle forth Hitler's racist creed, backed up by their mastery of superscience and dabblings in dark magic. They are one of the more active and numerous organizations within the city, having a heavily fortified base island within twenty miles of the city. Their most frequent lairing outside of their base is in the southern most borough of Exemplaria, where they maintain an Island fortress.
Terramachy: The insane eco-warriors of the Terramachy are a strong force in the generally environmentally minded city of Exemplaria. Sometimes, even the mistress of these hordes of biological monsters herself appears. The Terramachy focuses itself mainly in places such as Elizabeth Park in the center of the city, Salamanca Forest on the outskirts to the west, and paradoxically near industrial districts.
Mediterranean Syndicate: An italian born trust of multiple megacorporations with seemingly immortal, sun loathing and sanguine puppet masters, the Mediterranean Syndicate has formed one of it's tightly packed "Corporate sprawls" that takes up the southernmost region of the city, being formed out from the sea. Here the rule of law is waived in favor of the rule of money and the subordination to Corporate interests. Widely despised by the city, the Syndicate's actions rub many heroes the wrong way, and while the authorities can't crack down on the Syndicate, authorities tend to look the other way when heroes go in to knock Syndicate heads.
Islamic Global Liberation Army: A group of radical muslim extremist terrorists from the middle east, these sinister fundamentalists seek to bring down this monument to western excess by any means possible, and are already seemingly preparing to launch a full scale invasion while their terror cells run in secret, but what they do not know is that they are the secret pawns of another, more sinister force, those of Chaos.
Hel's Bels: A criminal gang with distinctly satanic bent, this gang is typically considered trash by other gangs and is primarily a threat to low level metahumans, but every now and then some show true promise and gifts from the creatures of the netherworld. Those who are truly gifted are inducted into the Chosen.
Chosen of Baalzebul: The Bels claim to have power from the Underworld, The Chosen actually have it. Ancient warlocks and diabolists consort with powers from the lower planes and use their devilry to unleash terrible misery and woe upon the city from their lairs deep underground. Sometimes their efforts spill outwards and their nightmarish minions are lead forward to attack in a storm of foul magics. Now either undead or spirits possessing new bodies, the restless spirits of this ancient evil wish to expand further. But even these dark threats are a front for Chaos.
Chaos Cults: Currently small in number, the offworld cults of the ruinous powers front many organizations such as Satanic gangs, the Islamic Global Liberation army, and other religiously bent criminal forces while the minions of Xaraghoul worm their way into the Earth.
Electrical protectorate: Given Exemplaria's high mechanical population of nearly five million recognizably intelligent machines within the city, it's no surprise that the Electrical protectorate also operates within. They are most likely to be found in the "Crey's Hand" district just a tad to the northeast of the Regency port district, hiding amongst the heavy machinery of Exemplaria's industrial center.
Genestealer cults: Genestealer cults are a notorious problem within the city, with the "Cult of starbourne oblivion" being the most prominent. Primarily dwelling in the city's labyrinth of abandoned subway tunnels and sewers, the genestealers have adopted a place in Exemplarian folklore much like Paragon city's trolls or New York's sewer alligators. It is unknown how many Genestealers and Genestealer hybrids can be found beneath the city, but estimates run from a hundred thousand to well over a million.
Royal Canadian Police: The Police force of Exemplaria is second to none in the world, equipped with just about everything under the sun. Future weapons equipped SWAT teams, Beat Cops, and detectives, Power armoured divisions, Psi-corps, Mage guilds, Super powered branches, they have all the tricks. They are also better paid than most comparable police forces and a good deal more numerous, operating all over the city in their never ending war on crime.
Sternguard: An elite force of Commonwealth soldiers who dedicate their lives to facing metahuman threats comprised of high tech, magic using, and psionic soldiers as well as their own cadre of metahumans who act in concert but ultimately independantly of the Canadian government. Operating from their northern artificial island base, the Sternguard can rapidly respond to threats to the city.
Nova phalanx: While most famous for it's core group of superheroes, many trainee metahumans act something like foot soldiers in the war against crime and the forces from beyond, often first on the scene in the face of an oncoming threat, the Nova Phalanx is quick to welcome new superheroes and quick to bash in the faces of supervillains.
Royal Canadian Army: When the shit hits the fan, the police call in the military, whose charge is lead by the Army itself, who can lay claim to highly advanced systems and sophisticated integration with metahuman elements to bring down cataclysmic threats to the city. The readily available forces in the area are under the command of General Sarah Alexandra, who takes her duties seriously, and is keen to one day push the Syndicate out.
Allied Peacekeepers: A permanent space port to the Peacekeeper fleet in orbit remains available to the citizens of Exemplaria, and when a threat beyond anyone's capability arises, the Peacekeepers come down like the wrath of a god.
Imperium of man: Canada considers itself the main route of contact for the Imperium of man to the World at large, and maintains many embassies and consulates to this starborne empire.
Mediporters: Due to the high prevalence of Supergeniuses in Canada, the nation has developed a countrywide mediporter system based off of reverse engineered tech from an invasion from the future. The system, installed into every Canadian citizen, automatically teleports those with the system installed to the nearest medical facility when it detects that their life signs drop below a certain point, where the nanomech technology, reverse engineered from future timelines automatically, rapidly, and painlessly cures them of all ills and injures within seconds. Effectively, the Canadian government has conquered disease and old age, as the Nanomechs are able to stop any form of the former, and reverse the latter. Even Zombie Viruses have been defeated by the revolutionary nanomech technology. One can apply to become part of the mediporter system at the nearest government building.
Current events
Devastation
In the wake of the Nazi, then Demon assault, then a devastating strike by the Hierarchy, Exemplaria is a gutted city in need of investors and rebuilding. While the Canadian Metropolis is funding much of the rebuilding out of it's own pocket, it is looking to investors, both public and private, interested in restoring the city to it's former glory. Over three million people died in the Alien assault, while another half million were killed by the Nazis, and the city is literally littered with the wreckage of alien technology and Nazi superscience, as well as pockets of the Demonic that have taken to hiding.
It's not know how many aliens have been left stuck on Exemplaria since the hierarchy was for the time being, thrown out of the Solar system, but estimates show that Exemplaria likely has the highest population of aliens on Earth at the time being, at least in the neighborhood of five hundred thousand. While many are from Girik's secessionists who have sided with humanity, it's believed that the majority are loyalists who continue terroristic strikes.
In addittion, though the Nazi invasion was defeated, ODESSA remains a strong problem and still has a heavy presence inside the city. Furthermore, criminal gangs, once nearly extinct due to the massive numbers of friendly metahumans and the extreme amounts of firepower the police could bring to bear, are now beginning to flow into the city as people immigrate into Canada from around the world, eager to be part of the world's greatest and most technologically advanced nation.
The Alliance that helped save the Earth from the Hierarchy for the time being has also decided to Headquarter in the Exemplarian metropolitan area, and Imperial, Sangheili, Space Soviet, ANSC, Novus and Droid forces go across the city as they set up their own bases and build burgeoning space ports to link Earth to trade from the stars.
Though Exemplaria remains the greatest city in the world, larger and richer than even the likes of Tokyo, New York City, and Paris, she is currently something of a ruin that needs rebuilding. Now is the time to decide whether you want to help the city get back on it's feet and perhaps even exceed it's former glory, or tear apart this shining Utopia and splatter than sheen with some grit, or even bring it crashing down into a miserable hellhole.
These are interesting times my friend.
