“So what are you?” the news reporter asked, biting on the tip of her pencil. “Well…I guess the easiest way to put it is; I’m a hero” Sha responded, not yet ready to reveal the fact that she was an alien. “A hero, from where?” she asked again, trying to dig deeper into the roots of the Ninjan Princess. “I came to Solace City from, uh…Wyoming; Look I just don’t want people thinking I’m some super crazy chick hell bent on destroying humanity” Sha finally admitted, placing her hands on her sides.
“I see, last question, you’ve been here for months, what’s your thoughts on the hero from our sister city, Sarah Lockhart” the reporter asked again. “Uh…she has…nice…hair?” Sha responded a bit taken off guard. She and Sarah never came into contact with each other; as a matter of fact Sha had never even been to Champion City because she knew how much the people of that city loved Sarah.
“Well Sha, that’s all I have for now…if I have any other questions where can I reach you at?” the reporter asked again, stepping closer towards the alien. “Well here’s my friends, cellphone number his name is Edward, he can direct me to you” she said, writing Edward’s number down on a piece of paper. “Expect a call from me…” she said, right before planting a kiss on the lips of the Ninjan Princess.
The immediate shock subsided quickly, as quickly gathered herself; the reporter spared no time to explain she simply got in her Honda and drove off. “That was so hot…” Edward said, appearing from behind a tree. “How long where you standing there!” Sha screamed turning florid from embarrassment. “Long enough to know you have a thing for chicks” he said, with a chuckle. “Oh I do not, I’m 100% Asexual there isn’t a species that turns me on” she said, hooking the young boy by his arm pits and flying towards his home.
“Wait…you mean…” he started but ultimately she finished. “Yes, I have my own children…” She glanced down to see how he took the news, and his face nearly caused her to drop him. “Well this is as far as I’ll go”; she said dropping him off right on the outskirts of Champion City. “I don’t get it, why won’t you come to Champion City…?” he said, digging his hands into his pockets.
“Do you remember how we first met” she said, landing on the ground in front of them. “Of course, I do you arrived here in the middle of game seven of the Champions-Centurions play-off game…oh” he said, remembering the how heated the public was.
“You just go home, and I’ll meet you back at school same time” she said, flying back towards Solace City. There was no mistaken how smitten she had grown for Edward over the last few weeks; she didn’t think she’d honestly befriend any of these humans so quickly, but she had to admit how wrong she was.
Landing near a vacant building; she made sure no one was looking before she got into her civilian disguise. “That’s clever…” a woman said, appearing from the darkness. “What-the…who are you?” she said, startling the Ninjan Princess.
“My name is Maya Lopez…and I have some business for you…” she said, dowsing the Ninjan in cold water to put out her powers.
Within the weeks following, Sha’s disappearance, the crime rate in Solace City began to skyrocket.
