In an Age of Dragons, the skies are dark and gloomy. The land is now barren and twisted.

 This is the Blight!
A darkness that overtakes the land in the wake of the Darkspawn's Taint. This is what makes those foul creatures so dangerous. Their blood is poison, their mere presence a disease on the land.

Just days ago news arrived in Denerim of the battle in  Ostagar. Cailan, King of Ferelden, and his army have fallen to the horde. The land is now left unguarded against the looming apocalypse.

The small village of  Lothering now stands in the path of the Blight. Farmers and their families pack up their entire lives and head north. While some look to take advantage of this seemingly lawless chaos. Lothering has become a temporary haven for people of the area, due to its position as the entrance to the north. Refugee's are pouring in just as fast as leaving. Bandits now look to exploit this event for their own means, as the chaos ensues. The Chantry is stretched to a breaking point trying to help the displaced people. What soldiers that have remained are spread across from helping villagers evacuate, to making preparations for what seems to be their final stand.

What road will you choose?

The Setting

Dragon Age is a dark fantasy setting where magic is outlawed. Only Circle Mages may use magic openly without worry of being hunted by the Chantry's mighty Templar's. Unlike most fantasy settings the Elves of DA are viewed as second class citizens and do not live for hundreds of years. They are broken into two types of Elves. The Dalish who wander the lands homeless and avoid almost all human contact. And the City Elves who live in crowded Aliengages within the cities. There are only two known Dwarven Thaigs left, which the Dwarves seldom leave except to sell their wares. The might champions known as the Grey Wardens fell at Ostagar.

The world is known as Thedas and this rpg will take place in the land known as Ferelden. Recent events have put the nation on high alert. An ArchDemon has been found by the darkspawn and now calls upon them, forming the fifth Blight. There are several types of Darkspawn, Genlocks, Hurlocks, Shrieks, Emissaries, and Ogre's which make up this dark horde that sweeps the land.

Something else to note. Once this has finished (or come to a stopping point). Myself, Switch, Eclipse, and Scion of Light will be putting on a few other Dragon Age rpgs. But story focused with specific plots. If others are interested we will most likely allow for a few guest appearances here and there.

got it lol, will get back to you.. have to see how my work goes, major overtime going on, barely able to feed myself let alone get out a post v_v
#22 Posted by Alurvelve (3655 posts) - - Show Bio
@.Mistress Redhead.: No worries.
Figured a number of people interested in the Pm have lost interest. Which is the main reason why I've waited to update the OoC until confirmed otherwise.

If work is so bad, grab some health/snack bars for you while you're on the go.

I love the brand called Cliff bars.
They have a brownie one which is awesome. Along with a tasty chocolate chip one. And a peanut butter one. I used to buy boxes of those things when I rode more.
#26 Posted by Alurvelve (3655 posts) - - Show Bio
@The Dark Huntress: If Mage you looking at being an Apostate (illegal mage) or a Circle Mage (who mostly lives in the Circle tower).

@-Eclipse-:
Curse you, I was about to answer that and get my bonus points...

wait, he just said 10 points to anyone who knows it, not whoever knew it first

I can still get my bonuses :D
#36 Posted by -Eclipse- (7537 posts) - - Show Bio
@Marcus_Korah: True, true.

Huh, probably shouldn't have spent all my points on one attribute... But then, I suck at leveling my characters xD
#37 Posted by thegreatfour (12933 posts) - - Show Bio
@-Eclipse-: As am I. I choose a rogue and yet put all of my points into strength and constitution.
#38 Posted by -Eclipse- (7537 posts) - - Show Bio
@thegreatfour: LOL, I have no ideas what I did with Alistair's points... His strength is crap compared to Olrik, his dexterity isn't particularly high and his constitution was, until recently, awful. xD
#39 Posted by Switch (4527 posts) - - Show Bio

Cool beans, cant wait for this to get started :D

#40 Posted by Scion_of_Light (1824 posts) - - Show Bio
@-Eclipse-:  For Alistair I usually pump up his cunning (for tactics), strength (my tank needs power!), constitution (my tank needs health!), and dexterity (only up to the point where I can get all his shield stuff).

@thegreatfour: Must be hard to sneak around with bulging muscles LOL
#41 Posted by thegreatfour (12933 posts) - - Show Bio
@Scion_of_Light: It's the art of deception. They'd never suspect I was a rogue and then BAM!
#42 Posted by Scion_of_Light (1824 posts) - - Show Bio
@thegreatfour:  Well it is pretty deceptive! I would never imagine Hulk Hogan to try and sneak into my house to kill me LOL
#43 Posted by -Eclipse- (7537 posts) - - Show Bio
@Scion_of_Light: Ohhh, that's what all his Tactic slots came from... I guess I was spending them on Cunning... LMAO

Yeah, recently I've been focusing more on Dexterity and Constitution, so now my guys are landing more hits and dying less :P

Speaking of sneaking around with bulging muscles, today I just played the "Captured!" quest, with Ohgren and Zevran as my rescuers. Epic stuff.
#44 Posted by thegreatfour (12933 posts) - - Show Bio
@-Eclipse-: Oh yeah!? Well I resurrected Flemeth :P beat that
#45 Posted by Alurvelve (3655 posts) - - Show Bio
@-Eclipse-: I usually rescued myself. XP
#46 Posted by -Eclipse- (7537 posts) - - Show Bio

@Alurvelve: And I'm sure you looked like a total badass, but was it funny? I think not! :P

@thegreatfour: You can ressurect her? O_O When does THAT happen?!

Wait, is that in Dragon Age 2? O.o

I love how influential the Warden is in Origins... I can literally make everyone do whatever the hell I want with a few statements. Highlight so far is convincing Anora to marry Olrik's best friend. You're welcome, Al! xP

That's what happens when you're uberly powerful. xP

@Alurvelve: LOL, that's another thing I love, how people go "DUDE, this thing is SO hard, a buttload of people just DIED trying to do this thing!!!" and then me and ma crew just waltz through it all xD

I know I'm a Grey Warden and all, but come on!
#49 Posted by thegreatfour (12933 posts) - - Show Bio
@-Eclipse-: yeah it's DA 2.
#50 Posted by Marcus_Korah (1290 posts) - - Show Bio
@-Eclipse-:
You always know you're a badass when you can only succeed by fighting across the corpses of the fallen who have tried before you
