The master of the Canadian Utopia commanded the world's largest metahuman population, some of it's most sophisticated technology, all the resources of a massive mega-corporation; a lion's share of the world's left-over technology from the hierarchy conflict, and lucrative alliances with alien powers. He was very possibly the most politically powerful figure in the world, with the capacity to nuke the world into ash or crash the world's economy with a keystroke. He could have become the next Hitler and launched a world-wide offensive and attempted to conquer the world, he might have even won.
But Aleksei had every intention of living up to the promises that made him Prime Minister of the most powerful country on Earth, he would bring the Transhumanist revolution to the world and improve the lives of all for the better. He wasn't simply a preacher of the benefits of post-humanism, but also a practioner; bonded with his nanosuit made from his own refinements to advanced alien technology. There was no longer any distinction from man and machine. He could take on any shape he wanted by reshaping his nanites, he could be organic, mechanical, or something entirely different. Quite literally, all the resources of his office were never more than a thought away, and his own body had become a superhuman marvel.
Still; managing Canada's contributions to the war against the Hierarchy often meant he was unable to focus on more earthly matters. Still, there was the matter of a literal tinpot dictator to deal with. He had read the files, he had his agents everywhere; ensuring that the Maple Leaf's vigil would always be kept. The recent NSA scandals the Americans committed, and that mess in Crimea paired with the goodwill towards his government for virtually eliminating conflict between it's supernatural, extraterrestrial, metahuman, non-organic, and mundane populace and it's massive funding of developmental programs and war effort against all sorts of invaders; all made sure that the spotlight was kept off of him.
His musings were interrupted when his view-screens were filled with the image of an official of the Adeptus Astartes, a woman clad in blood red and masterfully crafted power armor with the symbols of ravens adorning it; the proudest sons and daughters of the Imperium of Man that formed the bulwark against the Hierarchy from it's throne on distant Chiron. As he owned much of his gains to the Imperium and their allies such as the Novus, he knew better than to dismiss the call, and quickly brought it to the fore with a single thought.
"Ah, Strategos Maven; how may I be of assistance?" Aleksei said, the Strategos giving him a nod of acknowledgement.
"Kaetzar's greetings upon you Prime Minister. You are aware of the situation developing on your world, correct?" She said, wishing to leave as little words for the Hierarchy or the Imperium's other enemies to intercept and decode.
"Yes, SWORD seems to have picked up the case." He said, the Helmet clad figure's lenses seeming to shutter briefly.
"It would be unwise to let the situation escalate further. We are currently preventing the A.N.S.C from deploying it's own orbital munitions and cadre of Frankensteins to minimize collateral damage, and an appropriate degree of force from our end to resolve this issue would violate our desire to allow the Earth to handle it's internal strife until it is ready to join us. I would advise you to handle the situation before the A.N.S.C does something foolish." Maven said, getting a nod from the political titan of the world.
"I'll see what I can do Strategos." He said before Maven raised a hand to bid him to stay and hear him out.
"We have also detected chaotic energies from the emergence of a creature not prominent since the Symaarian Imperium, not to the degree of the primary four deities or the traitor ordos in service to Xaraghoul, but enough to raise concern. You would do well to prepare yourself against the supernatural."
"I wouldn't have survived this long and gotten this far if I didn't have a plan for every possible kind of enemy, Maven. Knowing Doom, he probably wants something from the thing, but isn't willing to take it for himself. I've watched his play in Gothic and the Balkans, he's a canny man, but I'm not letting him get a free pass anymore." He said as she closed out the transmission, turning to another set of screens and bringing up his own personal war-room.
"Should we sound the alert for our heroic populace and the military, Prime Minister?" His secretary asked before he dismissed her offer with a hand wave.
"No, if SWORD felt the need to deploy orbital firepower and the situation is still continuing; then the majority of our heroes are going to be a non-factor at best, a hindrance at worst. Besides, there's way too much political baggage involved with calling in the armed forces, even the PMCs." He said as his nanosuit's external layers shifted, the human-guise melting away as the true shape of the armor was revealed as he rose from his chair.
"Dramatic as ever I see." His secretary snarked.
"I thought I told you that I was the fun Prime Minister." He said as he strode towards a special section of the wall; where with a single thought he revealed the armorsuit he had kept at the ready for high grade threats like this. Ever since the Hierarchy war; he rarely needed anything more than the base nanosuit, but it seems that now would be a good time to start seeing how it worked outside of tests.
"Should I inform your...high risk contacts?" She said as the suit opened up for him, accepting him inside of it and quickly linking to the nanites that made up his body.
"The Primalborn are a last resort Beth. I will play literally every card I can before I call in the thunder-tykes. I'm not comfortable with that much power being released near the Earth in the hands of mentally scarred thirteen year olds. Besides, all this problem needs is a sharp dressed man." He said as the famed ZZ top song quickly started to play from his speakers, getting an eyeroll from his secretary.
"...Really sir?"
"Oh now you just ruined the one liner."
"It wasn't a particularly good one."
"Oh hush now." He said as the launch silo doors in the chamber opened, giving him a clear shot skywards.
"So what's your plan sir?" Beth asked over the airwaves.
"It's a bit complicated, but it involves rustling his jimmies and informing him that he just came to the wrong neighborhood."
"...Do you have a plan that isn't a reference to internet jokes?"
"Well I could always rick-roll him."
"Nobody's done one of those unironically in years sir."
"Fun Prime Minister Beth, Fun Prime Minister." he said as he took off to the skies and rocketed through the Earth's atmosphere and up into space to avoid collateral damage. Crossing thousands of miles in a split second, he made his descent towards india; carefully managing his speed to avoid causing a major catastrophe just through his arrival.
@xenon_: @_atomikill_: @salem_hex: @shadowswordmaster: @_goliath_: @agent_musashi: @warsman: "When I woke up today, I wasn't quite expecting Gongen from Asura's wrath to be squaring with Godzilla, I swear if this guy turns planet sized I'm going to upchuck." He said as he analyzed the situation from his rapidly descending vantage point.
Deciding to target the second Rama, Aleksei activated the kinetic force concentrators throughout his suit and set himself into maximum speed mode; intending to smash into the mutant with as much force as possible. All the force of a fair sized meteor concentrated into a single point on his fist as the burning green-glow of dark glass powered rockets flared around it, the fires forming into the shape of a falcon.
"FALCON PUNCH!" He shouted, consciously refencing what he believed to be a truly timeless meme as he threw the punch at just the right moment of impact; the rockets and repulsors going into overdrive, aiming his sudden strike right into the face of Rama Khan, aiming to throw him as far back as possible as he outraced his own sound thousands of times over, impacting with the force to cause a mass extinction event to rival the power of a supervolcano or a comet; with every last PSI of force being concentrated into a single point for maximum damage. If it impacted, it would make an all consuming reverberating thunder paired with the prominent shriek of a falcon being blared through his speakers to let the world know he had joined the battle.
Tapping into systems he reverse engineered from the Masari, his suit's visor let out beams of hard-light with powerful FREEMS that could bring even high end meta-humans to their knees or bore through miles of solid rock while a series of missiles streaked from his shoulders; all loaded with special warheads that for a time, turned all electrons caught into positrons; tearing apart the chemical bonds that hold matter together and ripping away electron shells from atoms now left to collide with one another thanks to their sudden momentum; all while the positrons would undergo their fatal attraction to unaffected electrons and detonate in an annihilation of equals and opposites.
With his SANTA enhanced mind letting him plan strategies and fight with the combined knowledge of humanity, or at least the parts accessible via wifi, he was able to fight with tremendous skill and reflexes far beyond what he could as simple meat. Here, his mind told him to follow up with a flurry of Vibranium razor discs with launched at escape velocities with hyper-sonic shrieks from a protesting sound barrier from his suit's wrist launchers with the roar of electromagnetic devices; engines programmed into the discs ready to direct their own advance and hopefully absorb enough energy from the creature to explode and deal further damage.
But he knew that with such creatures, he couldn't just stop. . He utilized his own Masari enhanced technology, fire stolen from dead gods to attempt to close off the brain of the Mutant techno-sorcerer. Arcane technologies developed by the former rulers of the cosmos and reverse engineered, to a lesser degree admittedly, sought to strike at the thought processes of Rama Khan, any disruption in his mind would be welcome as he demonstrated the fruits of what he had gained from studying the long abandoned Masari outposts in forgotten corners of the Earth his corporation jealously guarded whenever the Imperials, A.N.S.C or their allies were not available for the task.
Fruits such as the temporal-manipulation device he employed to slow down time, giving him much more room to act to come in for a rapid barrage of fisticuffs, throwing each punch deliberately and with force, seeking to destroy this body as quickly as possible, each punch being thrown being accompanied with the crack of sonic booms and the twitching of artificial musculature as his suit blurted out "Maximum speed mode" with a droning, feminine voice.
There was a problem with the Alpha strike strategy of course; it showed his hand quite quickly. And if Rhama was as old and familiar with science as he said he was, he couldn't discount the possibility of the Khan being at least passingly familiar with the technology of the Ring-Makers and the chosen of the Primordials. If Rhama survived or even started countering; Aleksei was likely in for a rough time. But the Prime Minister of Canada had a literal army of favors to cash in, people to call on to answer his call to defend humanity. He just hoped what he had would be enough.
