@The_Lost_LeBeau: "It's sticking out of your chest..." It pointed right where he said it would be. Protruding through the woman's chest was the spikes to an old fence, suddenly she was impaled on the front gates of Sandsbury sanitarium, where the name was promptly labeled. Vines rapidly growing upwards on the fence until the started to root down into her eyes, and mouth, and skin, like needles to a syringe, until finally her mouth would be forced open for bats to fly out of her mouth violently.

...

The woman would then snap out of her meditation, right back under the bridge, the being nowhere in sight.

@TheRumor: There is no hesitation. A swing, a flip, a twist and a landing. The lost legend is sprinting down the side of the bridge. LA to NY was two thousand four hundred and sixty two miles. Two thousand seven hundred and seventy one miles by car. A forty one hour drive for most, twenty nine for her. By plane it could be as little as five hours and forty minutes. She could make it in three hours. And she would.

Dressed in his civilian attire, white tee-shirt underneath a perfectly distressed unbuttoned denim jacket that rested just around the belt line of his True Religion oiled dyed denim jeans, Quintus walked the main boulevard. He was hunting, but not the criminal element he obsessively stalked back in his native New York. No, here in the land of shattered dreams he was looking for something else. And soon he found it standing on the sidewalk dazzling the everyday citizen as they walked by. With an upside down fedora acting as a collection plate, the Knightfall Legend stood and watched before dropping a solid bundle of folded cash in the empty hat. "Teach me." he requested. Understanding that if he were able to perfect the art of slight of hand it would substantially benefit his quest against crime as well as bolstering his polymath catalog of unique skills.

Brick slowly walks the streets of LA, contemplating how he could of left his family even for a week to return "home" to make amends and finish cleaning up. His mother still angry at how she was unable to help Zoe even in the slightest bit. As he walks he pulls out his phone and pulls up Zoe's number, dialing he waits and hopes shes well enough to pick up the phone.

@Darkchild:

In the WAL HQ, Medical Ward

Zoe's eyes slowly open, the sound of a phone going off next to her as she struggled to turn her head, her neck brace strapped around her neck made it difficult for her as her cast arms made it even more difficult to try and grasp the phone. "Ugh..." she managed to press the speaker button, "he-" she cleared her throat. "Hello?" Her voice was a little horsed, she hadn't been talking a whole lot since her incident.

Feeling his heart plunge deep into his chest as he hears her raspy voice "Its me Zoe, Gio....I wanted to tell you..." His voice breaking up as he tried to hold back tears "I am sorry I wasn't there for you when that crazy woman came to our doorstep...can you ever forgive me?"

@Darkchild: She could have sworn it was the morphine coursing through her body, it was Gio. "Gio?" She asked more in a surprise than an actual question. "Gio..." softly she repeated, she could hear the struggling in his voice just to try and speak. "Don't blame yourself, its not..." she adjusted in her bed, wincing a bit as she did. "your fault. It's my fault, I should have called for backup rather than think I could take her on myself." Even though he couldn't see it, she smiled, it was nice to hear a voice of someone else other than the medical staff. "Where are you?" she looked at the time, she hadn't been keeping much track of it since the incident.

@Quintus_Knightfall: "Teach me." He said staring into two beady eyes that gazed back up at him from below. The man was dirty, but Quintus knew it was all an act. He feigned homelessness to score a buck, and based on the amount of coin he had collected that evening, his trick seemed to be working.

"If learning tricks is what you desire, then be prepared to hire, but you won''t get what you seek without the aid of a woman shrouded in mystique." In a swift movement the man revealed a series of playing cards from his sleeve. He shuffled them and laid them out on the concrete.

"Choose." Quintus leaned down and flipped one of the card face up, revealing "The Empress" tarot card.

"Again." The mysterious man said, and Quintus bent down to reveal "The Magician." The man closed his eyes and was silent for a moment. City of the Angels

And the lost.

After returning from her emergency in New York the Arashikage Exile visited a number of fine establishments. And a number of not so fine ones. In disguise filling the roles of various characters, of a variety of souls. But all for one purpose.

The Legendary LeBeau was seeking the Weston's. 'Z' in particular.

A parlay, peaceful. At Our Lady of the Angels. Home turf for the Vatican Assassin.

And there she waited, head lowered in a pew in the shadows of an empty corner, ornate hood obscuring her features.

#65 Posted by Shanana (52868 posts) - - Show Bio

@The_Lost_LeBeau:

Sanctuaries tended to be a bit difficult to stand especially when both the boss and, the blade she wielded detested them. Z entered the room with twelve of her closest body guards trailing closely behind her. Without moment’s notice, she halted in the middle of the isle; the animated cadavers circled the church providing 360 securities for their queen.

Her pacific blue eye fell on the image of Christ illuminated under a spot light, what seemed odd to her was the positioning of his hands in the mural, index finger pointed directly into the air. To the masses this symbolism was nothing, however to the very few this symbol signified who was indeed in charge of not only America but some faiths.

Crossing the middle, Z took a seat in a pew; with her head down as if she were praying. “You wished to speak with me…” she said, subtle enough not to alarm the cadavers but clear enough for her unknown seeker to hear.

Turning the corner just in time to see a beautiful but obviously ruthless woman slit the throat of a man three times her size. "NO!" he yelled out.

"NO" She slipped the blade through his throat, tearing his carotid artery. Blood seeped down his neck, staining his white shirt and splattered on the wall opposite them. The man gripped his own throat, gagging as the blood rushed to the wound. He tried to scream but the sound of his voice gurgled in the back of his throat, muffling the sound. "Hold still." She was nonchalant as she slashed the second artery and watched as the heavy set man fell to the ground on his knees before her, giving himself up to his fate, face smacking the floorboards below her. She gazed at the back of her victim's head as she stood above him, her face expressionless. She felt a sudden shift in the air and turned to look behind her. "Who is there." She questioned staring at the rise of steam all around her. It was less of a question and more of a demand as she wiped the blood from the blade clean with one of the tablecloths hanging on the rack above her.

#71 Posted by Urban_Ronin (9935 posts) - - Show Bio

@Adriana_Fox: A quick hope through the air parting the steam and Quintus was by the mans side, knelt down exploring every, and any, possibility for a rescue. However it was to late. The man had lost to much blood which had already begun to pool around his face and head. Clinching a tightly balled fist the heroic minded aristocrat slid his jacket off using it to respectfully cover the dead body. "You'll pay for that." an undeniable truth echoed in his monotone proclamation.

#72 Posted by Adriana_Fox (75 posts) - - Show Bio

@Quintus_Knightfall: "Pay for what?" Adriana glared through the steam at the mysterious stranger with steely eyes. The tension in the air cut be cut with a butcher knife. "You dare judge? This man could be a murderer, and yet 'I will pay for that?'" She suddenly realized that she would have to eradicate him, else evidence of her actions could be used against her. She smirked and drew two blades from their holsters and lunged forward toward him, one blade aimed at his side and the other at the back of his neck.

#73 Posted by Urban_Ronin (9935 posts) - - Show Bio

@Adriana_Fox: Before he could respond the fleet footed female attacked with fatalistic fixation. Forcing Quintus to somersault backwards with evasive elusiveness. "I dont want to hurt you." His warning proceeded by the rapid spinning of the mop handle. Its acceleration monitored by the increasingly agitated air whistling around its edges. "But if you make me put you down, you wont be getting back up for a longtime."

#74 Posted by Adriana_Fox (75 posts) - - Show Bio

@Quintus_Knightfall: "You don't want to hurt me? Should I be thanking you for 'sparing me,' too? Boy, you sure do have an inflated image of yourself. And you seem reaaal smart considering you've already gotten the whole backstory on why this man deserved to be put down." She said as she swirled one blade in her right hand and rested her left hand on her hip. She stopped and placed both weapons back in their holsters before crossing her arms across her chest. "What do you want, hero?"

#75 Edited by Urban_Ronin (9935 posts) - - Show Bio

@Adriana_Fox: As she haltered her attack giving Quintus a chance to respond, he took advantage. "There is no backstory that would justify slitting a man's throat. If he was a criminal you could have easily subdued him and let the authorities handle the rest." Tossing the mop handle to away. "I came here to meet someone. She was to escort me." pausing as he looked down at the covered body. "I can only hope she did not meet the same unfortunate end as that poor bastard."

#76 Posted by Adriana_Fox (75 posts) - - Show Bio

@Quintus_Knightfall: "That's very noble of you to believe that the Justice System in this city doesn't consist of crooked cops. Truly. So what are you going to do? Arrest me?" Adriana walked toward the body and proceeded to roll up the still-warm corpse in a series of white sheets. She roamed the room and began collecting the blood stained cloth, and proceeded to throw them into the furnace, incinerating any trace evidence of a struggle in the process. "I can promise you that this is the only person I've killed...tonight." Her words were spoken coolly and without a hint of remorse. Picking up a canister of bleach she began to wipe down the room. Clearly, she worked alone. "What is this person's name and who sent you?"

#77 Posted by Urban_Ronin (9935 posts) - - Show Bio

@Adriana_Fox: Perhaps it was her seductive beauty, or perhaps in his own mind he knew she spoke the truth. The American justice system was nothing more then a tool, a weapon, wielded by powerfully corrupt bureaucrats who had deemed themselves King makers. "I do not know her name. The street performer around the block sent me here. I'm looking for a respected yet relatively unknown magician." slowly bending down to help wipe away the evidence. Removing a single wooden match from his pocket. "We should go." he smirked. Striking the end letting the sulfur burn. Standing back he flicked the match on the bleach starting the process of burning the entire building down. One of his less heroic acts but a necessary evil required to erase any and all traces a Knightfall had been there.

#78 Edited by Adriana_Fox (75 posts) - - Show Bio

@Quintus_Knightfall: She realized at that moment that the flame born from the match he lit not only wiped away any trace evidence of him having been there, but also any evidence that she had murdered a man that night. She was masked, her identity concealed, but could she really risk letting this stranger get away, knowing he had an ace up his sleeve now? Knowing he had watched her kill in cold blood? She pushed the thought to the side temporarily as they walked out the back door and back into the alleyway. "It seems the woman who is to lead you is...me." She smirked and lifted her head up, cocking a slender brow. "But if you want to learn of his ways, you'll have to keep up." No sooner were those words spoken than Adriana removed a whip from her side and somersaulted her slender body up and onto the rafters of the building. Climbing to the rooftop before sprinting from one building to the next, heading north. Her body gleamed as the light reflected across her acrobatic figure, her white hair catching bits of light like a moth to a flame. She raced towards Spanish Harlem, across the upper west side. The buildings that surrounded them went from high end and expensive, to low end and desolate. She stopped suddenly on the rooftop of an old apartment complex. Neon lights gleamed on the damp streets below. She unlocked a grate on the roof of the building with a key that had been concealed in her bosom and disappeared through the skylight. It appeared to be an attic, a gloomy room filled with silk scarves of all colors and patterns. It was something you would find in a gypsy's quarters. "Vladislav..." She called out as she pushed the silk fabrics that hung low to the side in an effort to make her way through. The smell of frankincense filled the air which was already heavy with smoke. Adriana put a hand to her mouth to conceal a cough, "Vlad..." she called out again. There, sitting cross-legged on a group of silk pillows was the man Qunitus had met earlier. He was dressed in a white silk Persian robe now and his "homeless" clothes were tossed to the side. He inhaled the smole from the hookah and blew out through his nostrils. The sound of a cintar played in the background. "Vlad, turn that sh-t off, will you?"

Dressed in an elegant ruby red dress, that tailored a split up to her thighs the elusive Latina sat; where her doppelganger previously sat.

“That idea, es, ambitious to say the least; but an Idea I can get behind” Z‘s Spanish accent slurred her English.

“I will help you do this, but I think some of thee work can be taken off ourselves; if we have thee authorities push for registration now. One thing that struck her as brilliant was the simplicity of her plan, while the times were becoming far more complex; weapons of mass destruction, nuclear warheads, chemical agents and Biological threats; the simple idea often went unused.

Z took note of her facial features especially after mentioning the Knightfalls. "I have in my possession a U.S congressmen that was kidnapped the day the bill's provisions came out. My mind scoured over the different ways to kill him; but perhaps a frame job is in order?"

Z transformed herself into the Silent Knight, Maximus Knightfall releasing a treacherous smile from underneath her masquera.

@The_Lost_LeBeau:Although she had originated from the U.K. Georgie Dee found herself across the pond and roaming the streets L.A. trying to distance herself as much as possible from her old, normal life where she felt powerless and craft a new life for herself where she had power. Despite only being in American for a relatively short period time she had already established something of a name for herself and made connections with the seeded criminal underworld where she was known as someone that didn't mind getting there hands dirty for the right amount of money including activities like robbery, assault or even murder if the money was right. However, tonight she was without anything to do and decided she would take to the streets of L.A. and in hopes of finding something to occupy her night.

Casually she reached into one of her trouser pockets to light up a cigarette before she exhaled a cloud of smoke in the night air and exclaimed in her distinct British accent, "Ahhh, so bloody bored has to be something do around 'ere."

@The_Lost_LeBeau: Given her super-enhanced senses it is usually next to impossible to sneak up on or catch Georgie unawares, however, this mysterious woman had somehow by-passed her senses and seemingly come from nowhere, leaving her both intrigued and frustrated at being caught off-guard by the stranger.

"And who the Hell are you? And what makes you think I am interested in whatever you have to offer?", Georgie said show-casing her perpetual bad attitude and lack of manners by taking a drag off her cigarette and blowing a thick cloud of smoke in the mystery woman's direction.

@Thirteen13: The cigarette smoke obscuring Josephine's keen sense of smell, and the irritating her sharp eyes. Waving a hand in front of her face, scowling in displeasure as she literally feels cells poisoned by nicotine.

"Me? I'm Josephine LeBeau. Ex-Arashikage, among other things." The intensity of the woman's bio-electric field, the minute motions of the muscles under her skin, and the way she balanced told Josephine she was exceptional in capabilities. Above and beyond a normal human. Of course, just how much beyond, the Exile wasn't certain.

"Nothing but the knowledge people tend to like money. And if they can make twenty, or thirty thousand dollars in a few hours.."

#97 Posted by Thirteen13 (415 posts) - - Show Bio

@The_Lost_LeBeau: Although she seemingly listened to the woman speak with little to no interest Georgie in fact was not only only listening intently at the prospect of getting a large sum of money, but also analysing her with her "souped-up senses" to figure who or what the woman that identified herself as Josephine LeBeau indeed was, as she didn't appear to be run-of-the-milll to her.

"Twenty or thirty thousand you say, okay you have my attention, though I have a notoriously short attention span so tell me what this job of yours is, but make quick," Georgie said finally finishing smoking her cigarette and flicking it away.

She would always ask for comic's that weren't that popular or mainstream, she figured if she was going to read them, might as well dive into the area of the unknown first. "It's good to hear your voice, all I've been hearing is the beeping of these darn machines and Dr. Hope rambling on about some medical stuff I don't understand." she laughed a bit only to stop after a second, her broken ribs causing pain as she bit her lip, trying to keep Gio from hearing it.
