Hey, nice! Good luck!
CV 2199 - The Gene Wars - OOC
@_animus_: Haha, I've seriously considered it, just don't think it's original enough to be worth writing a whole damn book about. Still, I'm really enjoying creating this world, so I might try and rework the story into something slightly more original at some point :)
Semi-short story at the least. The general premise makes so much room for branching out to other types of characters, why it's a great RPG idea too.
@_animus_: I imagine I'll end up writing a short story set here at some point, I've already got 4 characters I'd love to delve into. I mean, Rook is the main dude for now, but I'd love to do more with Denver.
@joygirl: Absolutely :D either fill out the form in the OP and post it here, or just jump straight in and create a character on the fly. No need to create a new account, unless you find that helpful.
@_eclipse_: I was considering using one of my other characters, actually. One of the immortal ones who would still be alive and evolved a hundred years later. Probably either Nymphixia or Ziah.
I... want in on this. I'll probably do it as @medusa_merc, but if I need to make a new character for the RP I'll just use that profile
- Name:Ziah Darksong
- Aliases: General Darksong
- Gender: Ciswoman
- Date of Birth: Unknown. Estimated to be several million years of age -- though much of this time was spent buried in rock.
- Class: Lorian Mutant
- Faction: Resurgency
- Specialism: Commander. Ziah is a natural-born leader with centuries of experience, and after centuries with the Imperium she learned that the universe is an enormous place... that amidst the countless planets and galaxies, the planet she had shunned so long ago was still her homeland. And nobody is allowed to rule that planet but her.
- Mini-bio: Born an unknown amount of time ago to an ancient civilization, called Loria, that may or may not have predated and originated humankind, Ziah may be the first person to carry the X-Gene. This granted her enormous strength, speed, durability, and the ability to cast lightning bolts from the sky -- for this reason, she was worshiped by her people as a sort of deific dictator. When a cataclysm destroyed this civilization, however, Ziah remained alive, but instead buried in molten rock. It wasn't until 2013 that Ziah was unearthed, at which time she immediately set out to find lost Loria -- eventually finding its ruins, and nothing else. Driven from Earth, Ziah was taken in by a cosmic organization known as the Abyssal Imperium, where she found a panacea on a planet called Idyllonia that cured her of the muscle instability that forced her to wear a special suit of armor to avoid ripping herself apart with her own strength. Now, after centuries, she has grown both wiser and more powerful... and she's finally returning to her home planet, Earth, but not to play the part of the villain as she once had. No, this time Ziah returns to be a hero; a savior of mutantkind. But is her assistance a double-edged sword? If she saves the world, will hers be the next iron fist to close around it?
@ziah_darksong: Who's that pic of? Looks like an alternate, evil, Powergirl or some'n.
@the_superior_sapien: Yeah, it's a "dark" Powergirl, found it on Deviantart. I may switch her look to Divine though once she actually starts getting into combat and doesn't want the capelet anymore.
@velaaru_of_illea: Visually thats a smooth transition.
@the_superior_sapien: *bows* Thank you.
@rakdos_dagon: @fugue: @jotaro: All are welcome :) if you're worried about whether your idea gels with the rest of the world, just send me a PM to discuss.
@ziah_darksong: Damn, nice... Should bring a different flavour to the proceedings, though I kinda hope someone equally powerful joins the Coalition side, or else I'll have to create some countermeasures :P

Thanks (Ziah here), I thought it'd be fun to advance an old character and had a lot of fun deciding how she would have changed during time lapse. If nobody strong enough pops up in Coalition I can have her hang back and be more of a commander than a combatant, though that isn't really her style. In the battle of Idyllonia she leapt ahead before the actual troops did.
Ziah had no more time for words. No more time for soldiers and fleets that she didn't understand, no more time to listen to the specifics of a war that she knew nothing about. Everything had changed since she had been a commander -- everything was pieces on a board, ships and defenses. Leadership seemed to have no bearing now, and crushing an enemy's shields had become more important than destroying their spirits.
The lorian general, of course, had different ideas about warfare. And as usual, she was all too willing to demonstrate.
Ignoring the Inevitable, Ziah Darksong shot off into the air like a bullet, flash-stepping through the atmosphere of Idyllonia faster than the eye could follow. Already, a few meager troops had mustered, starting to form pitiful battle formations as if it would stop anything... they were wrong. Dead wrong, to be specific.
Ziah smashed into them like a cannonball, the sheer force of her landing sending hundreds of soldiers spraying out, a crater forming beneath the general's booted feet. Before anyone had time to react she had started to zip back and forth across the battlefield, the fluttering of her cape making her appear more like a wraith, some desolation angel, than an actual warrior on an actual battlefield. She let those on the outskirts, those who were wounded but not killed, survive... let them flee while she ripped apart those unfortunate many. Lightning bolts shredded down from the sky like raindrops, crashing into battlements and palisades, destroying formations. Ziah didn't need an army. She was one.
But hey, she's had time to grow.
@sarah_mania: Oh don't worry, if no-one else creates someone, I'll just invent something to give her a challenge :) wouldn't make sense for a government so dedicated to eradicating mutants to lack any offensive options against someone like her.
I like it, I'm kinda hesitant to let in too many super-old characters who predate the Integration War, but I really dig your concept, so I'm gonna make an exception, haha. Feel free to post in the Prelude RPG anytime if you want to set up her character.
@_celt: DO IT.
@premiumrook: I have sort of an idea, but I'm not sure I'd have the time with all my other stuff going on.
@_celt: That's fair, lol, I'm not really expecting anyone else to make this a priority, it doesn't have many ties to current continuity other than being the backstory of this character.
Basically I'm getting other people to write my bio for me ;)
Is the prelude the main rpg?
That is what it looks like.
Okay; I think I can make time for this then. My idea has to do with dis:

Wanted to do a Yellow Lantern member of the coalition, if that's possible? Sort of an answer to Ziah :s
