Well your request has been granted ^.^
Crossroads - OOC
^_^ it's not even a Knightfall exclusive lol
@la_espada: Enjoying this storyline man, good stuff.
@catriona_knightfall: If you need help with a idea, PM me! I'd happily help.
@myrmidon_: Thank you very much sir!
@myrmidon_: thank ya ^_^! Hadn't felt the story as much but start and end of the post I really enjoyed
@catriona_knightfall: I was about to post a comment about how I feel bad for falling behind on this, then realised you hadn't even made your first post yet... Feel much better now, thanks :D
But yeah, sorry gang. Will catch up and make another post soon, just got swept up with the KOV. And now I'm working too. Had two 10 hour days in a row so far, which I realise is not much, but it's a big shock to the system after months of doing bugger all >_>
@_eclipse_: I have made my first post >__<
10 hours is a long work day lol
@catriona_knightfall: Oh, well now I feel terrible again. Thanks! :(
Well it's especially bad cause I'm on my feet the whole time. Makes me miss working on supermarket checkouts when I just sat on my wheely chair all day... On the plus side, I'm doing catering now, so free food!
@_eclipse_: Standing around for 10 hours is torture man. I remember my first ever experience doing that haha, my feet nearly fell off.
@peak: Back in 2012 I took part in a sponsored walk for a friend's charity. Walked a hundred miles in a week, with no previous experience in walking or really any exercise of any kind (both the others had done Duke of Edinburgh award) and a massive bag on my back. Additionally, my fancy new walking shoes started to fall apart almost immediately.
Basically during that walk I destroyed my feet and for a while afterwards I would get annoyed at people claiming that their feet were 'killing them' after one day on their feet... Two years later and I'm back to being one of those people who grumbles about their feet after a day, haha
@premiumrook: Ah man, I know that feel. The first walk is agony. I remember doing my Golden Duke of Edinburgh award and the hike was killer, but I loved it (crazy person I am) and got the award :P I'm going trekking in Morocco in August with my uncle too.
@pyrogram: I really had no context for how much it would hurt though, was supposed to go for a few short walks to wear in the shoes and get my body prepared, but I didn't really bother... I had a car back then and pretty much drove everywhere, so I was in pretty poor shape (still am to be fair, lol) and then had to walk for seven days straight. Heck, Gold Duke of Edinburgh is only four and I didn't even get an award. :P
Best thing about it was the simplicity though. You wake up every morning and your only objective is to get to the next location, that freedom was pretty incredible. Sometimes I think it'd be nice to do it again... then I remember the blisters.
@premiumrook: Mine was seven too, actually, I tagged along with the Silver Duke of Edinburgh's too who came a day later so I ended up doing there one. It was up in the Brecon Beacons. Such a beautiful place, brilliant memories there. You ever been there, or Snowdonia?
Yeah man! I fully understand that, simplistic pleasure haha
