In a galaxy, far far away...

As to not bring harm to alien populaces presiding upon a large number of planets, the battleground that had been selected was within a remote, lifeless cluster of galaxies. Dante's imposingly tall, built, and otherwise, lean form was suspended within the endless blackness of space. His eyes, brilliantly scarlet orbs, gleamed through the darkness like tiny suns. His demeanor was focused, attentive, with his lips curled into a confident grin that complimented his urbane features. The Avatar was thoroughly unfazed by the airlessness of his surroundings, and accustomed to the thoroughly chilling climates of space.

He was clothed in a sleek, refined suit comprised of materials foreign to that which could be found upon earth. Its colors were as grey as an overcast sky. The red emblem upon its chest, a pronounced A, exhibited his chosen alias and status of being an avatar. A lengthy cape, scarlet as his eyes, was attached to the suit's back, silently flowing behind him. With his hand, he gently brushed a small tuft of hair from his forehead, its color bearing the appearance of having simply been woven out of gold.

"Well Leon, let's see what you think you can do," Traces of haughtiness tinted this thought, brought about by the power that Leonardo possibly possessed. What was to be done here, was simple. A battle, full-contact of course, to test each other's capabilities. Surprisingly, Dante's skepticism wasn't large. Behind the unperturbed, justifiable pretentiousness that he possessed, a glimmer of belief in his opponent's abilities shone. A rarity of sorts.

His arms gracefully beside his form, the Avatar maneuvered forward, gliding through the spacial blackness with an innate great degree of fluidity. Vast multitudes of celestial bodies could be sighted behind him, their presence's providing a source of illumination. His gaze bore moderately teasing undertones befitting of the more jocular side to his personality. He had every intent of letting Leonardo make the first combative movement. It was, of course, strategically a good thing to do. It would enable him to prepare, to observe and adapt...

"Ready when you are, Liafador," In space, the smooth cadence of his voice could not resonate. Thus, it was broadcast directly into Leonardo's head through telepathic means. "I'm feeling rather amiable, so I'll let you get the first move,"Dante teased. His eyes gleamed in preparation, previously relaxed muscles slightly tensing in readiness...

Leonardo's eyes were trained on the golden-haired warrior before him, a man he found a type of kinship with, one developed in the heart of battle, as was how they met in a distant galaxy. Noting eatch others prowess, a bout was decided on. Only, Leonardo found it strange such managed to happen based in the heat of combat, and it donned upon hin how much he'd change since flying from Russia to live with his family.

The Leonardo that arived there for one, was immeasurably weaker than he was currently, and his personality also found itself a stark contrast. He was a pacifist, non-violent and one who used his abilities to further his scientific curiosity. He cared not for the finer things in life, for the opulent flair which was now constant of his clothing and his current lust for battle? Non existent. But it did not scare him, of how his appetite for combat arose, and now he found himself excited at the prospect of this fight.

In moment's, an emerald aura was summoned forth from the sudden release of power sent by the Liafador Legacy. This was the first moment in his life time he'd been able to cut loose such an amount. Using approximately 70 percent if his full power, had he done so in even the same galaxy as earth, it would have been destroyed by the residual effects him merely moving.

Because the Emerald Cardinal possessed a mountainous pool of cosmic power that if completely went unrestrained, would threaten to tear the universe asunder. He was a being of infinite power who could track a microscopic particle across the cosmos simply from it existing, who had to contain the constant radiating pulses of energy that streamed fron his body. He felt like he lived in a reality made of cardboard. Walk across the ground incorrectly? About 7 billion beings no longer exist. Sneeze the wrong way? A solar systen is blown to fundamental particles. Spar with his elder nephew too intensely? His family suffers a tragic lost.

So when the neutron embodiment replied "I'm really glad we could do this," telepathically, he meant every single syllable. And now, without another exchange of internal communication, he decided to begin the battle. His opening move had him close the distance between the two in attoseconds, at speeds much much much faster than the universal law prohibited, and, from there would seek to high round-house kick, one powered by the rotation of Leonard's hips. With no proper set-up, he hoped to merely catch his foe off guard through sheer speed.

Successful or not,he would continue by rapidly expelling energized particles through his palms, each capable of evaporating millions of solar systems on their own, and he sought to bombard his foe with dozens if these. From that point he would wait patiently for a counter attack.

"Likewise."

And thus, in a span of time below even that of a second, the spacial battle had begun. Dante's fist tightly clenched as he simultaneously adopted a combative position, emitting an aura indiscernible to the human eye, that was simply radiant with unbridled power. The bright lure of battle against an equally skillful opponent lit a form of exhilaration within the avatar that had gone unseen for quite some time. Surprisingly, he made no subconscious movement to place the ivory ring upon his hand that would activate his Crusader's Portal. Against an opponent of the caliber that he detected, the infinite weapons stored within the portal would more than likely be rendered useless. Physical capability and all around experience with his abilities were what he could rely on...

As Leonardo made to initiate an exceptionally swift roundhouse kick maneuver, it was only through Dante's own level of perception and reflexes, that he was able to comprehend the force moving towards him. To Leon's advantage, the sudden, dawning realization of his opponent's speed did momentarily catch the Avatar unawares. However, without the proper setup coupled with the assault, it didn't appear to have been a thoroughly damaging blow. On the other hand, the force behind it, amplified by the speed of the kick, had sent the Perennial Paragon gliding backwards, arms propped up in defense. "Hes definitely got speed. On the other hand, adjusting my own perception of his movements might serve to equal things out just a slight bit..." He mused.

The temporary disadvantage of being caught unawares almost enabled the Avatar to be struck with his opponent's second line of attacks. However, quick thinking would allow him to accordingly react, and eventually, move forward with an attack of his own. In retaliation against his opponent's next assault, which consisted of multiple dozen masses of particles infused with energy, Dante would consistently sway from side to side, energies rapidly whizzing past him as he did so. Possibly, the energies that Leon discharged would collide with numerous celestial bodies behind them, which would almost certainly result in the utter obliteration of a number of them, bathing the duo in the radiance of the explosions.

Should his sways and dodges enable him to move into melee range, he would go for a hard hook aimed at the jaw, immediately following up with a sweeping spinning kick aimed at the back of Leon's legs, in which Dante's entire body would rotate. Whether or not he was victorious with his assault, he would finally thrust his right hand forward, in an attempt to discharge a point blank blast of sheer destructive force.

"Whoah." His opponent actually reacted to his attacks, and impressive feat on its own, Leonardo thought. His foe moved artfully through the barrage of energetic particles, and as he did, entire planets and solar systems behind him were reduced to nothing but their most basic components of quark-gluon plasma in violent displays of light. While maneuvering through the wave of attacks, Perennial Paragon managed to move in range of the Liafador, catching him off guard and sweeping his leg out from under him, and proceeding to fire a concussive beam of energy.

The force behind the attack was enough to send Leon flying backwards thousands of light-years away (a relatively small distance to the two fighters) into a large rocky planet, hurling right through one end and out of the other, and Leon managed to stop himself right before colliding into its neighbor which Leon detected would evolve life in the next million years. Rubbing his chin, The Cosmic Cardinal took hold of the dead rock he previously bore into, and coated it with a cosmic shield that would protect it from being destroyed from the sheer speed Leonardo moved it at.

Less than a nanosecond having passed after the Machiavellian Monarch's attack, Leonardo arrived, though obscured by the celestial body he held, and immediately tossed it towards his opponent at immense speeds. The act wasn't intended as an attack, nay, he was sure his foe could handle the planetary body, and instead would fly towards Dante, fists outstretched, in an attempt to smash into him just as the planet was dealt with.

(Not sure I sold in this one as well as I could've)

Dante was motionless hovering, gaze directed upon his cosmically powerfully opponent as he hurtled light years past the brilliant bodies and planetary features. An exhilarated smirk complimented his visage, brought about not merely by his own exhibition of concussive power, but at Leonardo's unharmed maneuverability. Literally seconds into the battle, and the cosmic pool of power that Leo boundlessly possessed towered above most others Aventus had encountered. It seemed almost impossible that a boy, not even in his young adulthood, seemingly possessed abstract abilities. And yet, here they were.

As Leonardo swiftly approached, physically unseen by the stellar body he carried, Dante remained gracefully still. "You aren't looking to play catch, are you?" he telepathically remarked, quickly stifling a chuckle. As he looked upon celestial rock's deadened proportions soaring through the blackness towards him, he did precisely as Leon was certain he could. An indolent flick of his wrist came before the sudden destabilization of said planet as a result of King Aventus' own cosmic capabilities mingled with the materiokinetic understanding that came with said capabilities.

Scattered, black pebbles flaked about him, and suddenly, as Leo's fist collided with him following the planet's destruction, Dante felt himself struck from his personal gravitational manipulation. He skyrocketed backwards through the expansive black, body trembling from the force of the blow rather than uncharacteristic fear. But even as he painfully streaked amid the lifeless systems devoid of biological organisms (tearing numerous planets asunder as his sculpted frame smashed through them), he'd managed to catch himself, smirk strewn into a wry grin.

He cupped his hands, arrogant pools of vividest red flashing brighter as his palms alit whitish blue. Like a vacuum, the particle foundations of energy were rapidly drew into his palms, simultaneously being produced from his own power. Soon, his frame was outlined in a jagged aura of cosmetic purity, hands seemingly cupped around a growing orb. And finally, he thrust his hands in Leo's direction, his aura exploding as a massive, wavelike energy beam careened from the orb in his hands towards the Liafador Prince. Its destructive power? Enough to blanket half a dozen galaxies.

"Perhaps."

Leonard playfully remarked as his combatant soared through the black abyss of space, following him as an azure sphere of energetic particles forming in his palms as he did. Halting immediately as the Machiavellian Monarch stopped, the azure sphere dissipated as a beam of crimson engulfed the Liafador legacy in surprise at his foes speed. Its power was enough to dwindle over 6 galaxies to nothingness, and Leonardo's skin was superheated at the pure energy it contained, jetting through a star as he flew.

A sly grin forming on his chiseled features, the Cosmic Cardinal Prince rocketed back towards the Monarch, a luminescent streak of blue energy sent towards his foe heralding his arrival. "Hey, can you survive a singularity in your eyes?" Leonardo inquired telepathically, after all, this man could fly through planets like wet toilet paper and put out enough energy to actually scratch the Cardinal Price at nearly 70% of his power.

"Eh, just in case."

Within the next instant, a black hole was formed from the density of gathered dust particles being forced through their schwarzschild radius, rapidly growing in size and forming an event horizon. Everything around them was immediately pulled towards it, and Leonard hovered casually to see how his opponent would react. If his foe could overcome its effects, the Cosmic Liafador would speed towards his foe at velocities dwarfing the universal speed limit trillions of times over in an effort to push him in, in an effort to begin a " black hole battle" if you will.

"A singularity?"Dante laughed, gracefully still and holding his position as light hurtled towards his frame. He didn't bother to move out of the way, confident in his ability to take the blast head on and endure. And as Leon's cerulean streak of energy struck his torso, he painfully flinched, almost shuddering as his suit was saturated with brutal heat, and the tissue beneath was reddened as a result of it. And as a result of this, his focus wavered, hastily tearing off the burned portion of his suit that was located around the shoulder and chest. And amidst his backwards drift across spaced, his attention snapped back to Leon's question, just as the colorful hue of the singularity's event horizon began to materialize into existence via the particles that the cardinal prince had seized control over.

The gravitational effect of the soulless, eerily revolving black hole was immediate. It rippled, almost as though distorting the space around it, and whilst Dante's attention was captivated by its alarming presence, he'd already begun to unconsciously and unknowingly drift past its event horizon. His fists tightened, power and will resolute as ever as he began to exert his own dominance over his body's gravitational field, resisting the spacial vacuum of nothingness. But once again, his attention was diverted, and his eyes widened as he was forcefully pushed forward towards the hole's blackness. Naturally, his body resisted compression and spaghettification, unlike that of a mortal. But as the blackness enveloped his form and clouded his vision, he still detected Leon's presence, and swiftly made his decision.

"I've decided, this will temporarily be our new battlefield," Dante telepathically remarked, deeming the black hole a change of scenery rather than acknowledging it as a genuine threat. His treasured arcane shackles, golden and glistening, shot out from the depths of the black hole in an attempt to ensnare both of Leon's wrists. Not only would he attempt to utilize them to pull Leon into the black hole with him, Dante's command over the esoteric arts of the Fell Star would come into play as he aimed to telekinetically pull Leon into the hole.
