In a galaxy, far far away...
As to not bring harm to alien populaces presiding upon a large number of planets, the battleground that had been selected was within a remote, lifeless cluster of galaxies. Dante's imposingly tall, built, and otherwise, lean form was suspended within the endless blackness of space. His eyes, brilliantly scarlet orbs, gleamed through the darkness like tiny suns. His demeanor was focused, attentive, with his lips curled into a confident grin that complimented his urbane features. The Avatar was thoroughly unfazed by the airlessness of his surroundings, and accustomed to the thoroughly chilling climates of space.
He was clothed in a sleek, refined suit comprised of materials foreign to that which could be found upon earth. Its colors were as grey as an overcast sky. The red emblem upon its chest, a pronounced A, exhibited his chosen alias and status of being an avatar. A battle, full-contact of course, to test each other's capabilities. Surprisingly, Dante's skepticism wasn't large. Behind the unperturbed, justifiable pretentiousness that he possessed, a glimmer of belief in his opponent's abilities shone. A rarity of sorts.
His arms gracefully beside his form, the Avatar maneuvered forward, gliding through the spacial blackness with an innate great degree of fluidity. Vast multitudes of celestial bodies could be sighted behind him, their presence's providing a source of illumination. His gaze bore moderately teasing undertones befitting of the more jocular side to his personality. He had every intent of letting Leonardo make the first combative movement. It was, of course, strategically a good thing to do. It would enable him to prepare, to observe and adapt...
"Ready when you are, Liafador," In space, the smooth cadence of his voice could not resonate. Thus, it was broadcast directly into Leonardo's head through telepathic means. "I'm feeling rather amiable, so I'll let you get the first move,"Dante teased. His eyes gleamed in preparation, previously relaxed muscles slightly tensing in readiness...
