Weeks have passed since the Hellfire Club's infiltration and subsequent destruction of the Trinity's headquarters in Finland. In search of the mutant child Kari, who possessed a genetic ability that could change the world forever, the Hellfire Club willfully retreated an an unknown variable intervened in there escapade, removing the child from there grasp with uncanny efficiency. Little information has been obtained from the confrontation, inciting a myriad of rumors being passed through many intelligence agencies around the world.

The Vine Villains, established by a relatively powerful group of mutants, has discovered that Kari no longer exists within the confines of the Trinity's guard. Believing themselves truly capable of protecting the girl, they investigated her possible locations. A tip has placed there sight on the Hellfire Club and its members, believing they succeeded in Kari's capture. This misinformation has sparked a gathering of there forces as they intend to siege the palace of the Club, unwillingly to allow them achieve success. What will happen when the two factions collide in the middle of the bustling metropolis that is New York City?
