The young hero watched with a raised brow when Nyx helped seal Ronin's wounds, smiling back at her goofy grin. Her bit of happiness was quickly replaced with nervousness when Ronin asked her if she was a healer; the demoness responding with rather dark laughter.
The situation got worse for Ophelia when the question of what they had planned came up, her demonic friend's quip about 'making out' turning the girl's face just a little bit red. "Well, I didn't really make any particular plans..." She says with a shrug, trying to shake her blushing off.
@_ophelia_: [ Nyx has an angel on one shoulder (Ophelia) and a devil on her other (Victor, who ironically she steered towards evil her own self). Now that she's exploring her humanity it kinda depends on how those interactions go. ]
Ronin raised an eyebrow at the maniacal laugh but couldn't help but chuckle at the quip, especially after Ophelia's face turned a light shade of red. He grinned, glanced at Ophelia and probably making her even more embarrassed. Still something else seemed wrong, especially coming from his teammate. "Uh...you ok, Ophelia?
He looked over at Nyx, unsure if she was the cause. "Please, help yourself to another." He said, finishing his own beer as well.

The demoness shrugged, accepting the invitation. Free beer was free beer, even if it was more fun to steal it. The temptation to use her prehensile tail to grab it was frustrating, but she settled for the pedestrian method of doing things with one's hands and fingers.
She paused, giggling at the idea of "doing things with hands and fingers," but then continued to crack the bottle and turn, observing the other two -- especially Ophelia, when the stranger seemed to think something was wrong. It was safe to assume he would know Nyx's new friend better than she did.
"I'm fine, completely fine." The Fox Girl says as convincingly as she could, accompanying it with a half smile. She knew he wouldn't care much about it, but she couldn't help but be a little embarrassed about it. Turning to Nyx, she raised her brow at the seemingly random giggling. "Well at least she isn't bored yet." Ophelia thought to herself with a sigh, trying to see the best in the situation.
Ronin gave Ophelia an unconvinced look, then shrugged. If she wanted him to know, she'd have told him. He looked back at Nyx, who began to randomly giggle. "Something funny?" He tilted his head with a raised eyebrow, "So tell me about yourself Nyx, Pheels has never brought a friend over before."
"I'm a demon from hell, my sole purpose in life to reap the souls of the dead, but I'm lazy and maybe an alcoholic so I don't get much of it done." She paused, waiting a beat to see if anyone would laugh, before taking a drink of her beer and continuing. "Seriously though, I just a healthy young woman who happens to have a cauterizing touch. I'm quite harmless."
"And there he goes with that 'pheels' stuff again." Ophelia thought as Ronin said the silly nickname, turning to her demonic friend to see what her answer would be. Her heart almost sank when Nyx stated her story bluntly, only a few seconds later did the Fox Girl giv e laugh as non-nervously as possible. Ronin was smart, but she hoped he wouldn't pay any mind to it.
Ronin looked back and forth at the two, unsure what was going on. "heh....right. You don't seem very harmless." He stood up, grabbing two more beers from the fridge. Feeling a sense of awkwardness between the three, he spoke. "Well, I guess I'll stop bothering you girls. Try not to get into too much trouble." Giving Ophelia a wink. "Nice meeting you, Nymph-Nyx." He began to walk out of the kitchen, maybe he'd take a nap.
@nymphixia: I thought you guys were going to ask Ronin if Nymp could stay but it was just a bunch of awkwardness bouncing between the three. Ophelia is such a spaz ;p)
@_ophelia_: @dwronin: [ Nobody filled me in. D: Besides Nyx isn't gonna be like "Mommy can they keep me? :D", besides, Ophelia isn't even her mommy, Naamah is. ]
Calming herself down a little bit, she spoke up when she saw Ronin leaving. "Ozzy, wait a second." She said in a only slightly nervous tone, walking up to him. "Nyx is... uh, from out of town. She doesn't really have a place to stay soooo... could she just hang around the base, just for a day or two?"
Ronin looked over at Ophelia, then over at Nymp. She didn't seem like the type to ask for help, so if she was (even though she technically wasn't asking, Ophelia was) then there was probably trouble following this girl. He smiled, "Yeah sure, stay as long as you'd like. Actually we could totally use a pyromancer on the team if your so inclined." He looked back at Ophelia, touching the side of her arm. "You sure everything's ok? You can tell me yano.."
"Pyromancer, cool," she glanced at her own hands, forcing them to redden with brimming hellfire but unable to project it in her human form. She then shrugged, nodding to Ronin in an unspoken thanks, man.
Sighing with relief as Ozzy agreed, even offering Nyx a position in the group; yeah, Ophelia knew she wouldn't say yes but it meant Ronin was accepting. She was about to turn around when he touched her arm and asked again if everything was alright. "Well..." The young girl turned to look at the demoness, before looking back to Ozzy and speaking in a whisper. "She's in a bit of trouble- not with the law or anything like that, but we might have to deal with it at some point." The Fox Girl said quickly but calmly while turning to look at Nyx who thankfully seemed preoccupied with her hellfire.
He nodded, giving a look of understanding. The girl seemed tough, he was curious what trouble she had gotten herself into but he knew not to ask now. "Thanks for being honest, just fill me in later ok?" Ronin gave a reassuring smile, then walked out heading to his room.
@dwronin: @_ophelia_: So I think I'm gonna have Nyx create a temporary "alter-ego," where she doesn't leave human form and doesn't teleport. She'll be like a fake hero to try to fit in, and go by Brimstone.
