Triton son of Posidon god of the waters, born of a mortal sea captain whom orphaned the child for her true love was being at sea and the pirates life. On a tiny island in Bermuda a well known wreck site for ships of all sizes. Triton was adopted into a sea fairing family of salvage workers. He had a natural ability to swim and dive for longer then normal periods, plus his strength seemed to increase in the water allowing him to bring up larger hauls then the others.
The parents realized something was different but took it as luck of gods to have such a special son to help their business. At his teenage years he found it was no longer a need to surface to air but kept up appearances to not scare his family. His strength, vision, hearing, were surpassing human standards already and his aging seemed slower as well.
On his18th birthday his features were a masterpiece of human physique but his time was devoted to the family business. He had built his own ship now, a partly submersible vessel allowing him to salvage faster then ever. This same day a Trident bejeweled he would find and it would be his most cherished possession, carrying with him always.
The parents confront him about other goals in his life, like romance and having children and following his own dream. He reassured them this was his path and a decade had past, the family no longer required to work as their finances would enough capable to give them a good retirement. The parents again approached and told him their closing the business and that he needs to move out and find himself in the world.
Triton confused and upset at the decision ran and dove into the ocean off the family dock entering his ships underwater hatch and decided to head towards the new world. The Americas would surely be chance at a future as so many had spoken of it being so. Swiftly his vessel pierced the very waters as if sliding on pure ice as he arrived hours before humanly capable.
Arriving on the shipyard of the new world, Triton arrives to have his chance at the American dream and what ever obstacles head his way.
