It has been weeks since Daemon had become the Vice President of the United States, but he had yet to make his public debut. Not meant as a slight against the world, but more that he wished to become fully healed and find a way to present himself. Almost two months ago, his body was almost torn to pieces and he had been held together with bolts and hinges. As the voices outside the front doors to the White House grow louder and louder with each step, he contemplates the thought that he has changed so much since the first days he became Daemon Matthius. Beginning as a parasite upon the love that once held him together, and now he holds the wishes and dreams of everyone in the palm of his hands. He stops just short of the front doors, reporters and even more regular joe's chatter outside the doors.
Turning to a mirror that hangs beside him, he cannot believe what he sees in his reflection. Long black hair hangs to his shoulders, and a face as clean and soft as a baby's skin looks back at him. A thick purple suit jacket, over top dark red shirt underneath he cannot believe that this day has come. The day that the world can see him not for a villain or a killer, but as the Savior he believes himself to be. Paradise is just around the corner, and he has already begun its slow creation but today he reaches out to those of the world and will tell them... he is there to save them.
Stepping out into the courtyard flashes blind him and shutters deafen the outside noises of the streets behind them, reporters cannot talk fast enough and photographers cannot snap pictures quick enough. Behind them and a set of gates a crowd of citizens scream, chanting his name in praise or in jeers he breathes deep before walking up to a lone podium. Next to it stands both @pyrogram President Stark, and First Lady Clarice @clara_mass. Each conveying a different emotion about today's events, he can see in Stark's eyes something teetering on pride, and in Clarice's eyes he sees nothing but anger and rage. But she like her husband is a master at what is hidden, and hidden deep below the loving and proud expressions she shows is a deep hatred for Daemon. Daemon hopes that soon he can transform that hate into acceptance, or at the very least tolerance.
Stepping behind Daemon are his most trusted people, his new friend and political constituent Alexander Leblanc @dark-paladin followed closely by Grant @blubber and new ally and most understanding of his emotions Crim @crimson_fury. As they part a single guard walks out placing a holographic device, as it hits the ground next to Daemon and the podium Sabella Liafador @shanana stands as proud as Daemon. She moves in close to him, showing the pair for the first time in public. With everyone close to him and filled with there own emotions he begins his speech.
Taking in a deep breath he raises his hand, his index finger and middle tight together a sign for his people. In an instant behind the gates and even within the crowd of reporters, one being Debra Van-Dyke hands raise in the air, the sign for Paradise held high. A wide and bright smile comes to his face as he sees so many doing the same as him, then he begins "People of all kin an creation, I stand before you as the Vice President of the United States. Here for one simple reason, to make this world and every single life in it safer. With this kind of power, some may think I will back track into my old deeds. But I stand here and tell you for the last time, I am not a Villain, I am a hero and I am your Savior. I will work tirelessly each and everyday, in hopes of bringing this world closer to what I dream about every night. I will bring us all into Paradise, but first we must make this world able to reach said Paradise. We.." Waving his hand to everyone beside him and behind "Are working on making this world safer for all, both human and mutant alike. No longer will either side feel the fear of being persecuted, we will turn that fear into pride. Pride for ones own species, for we all stand as people of Earth and we will forever be that. Today will begin the New Age, a new age of peace and tranquility. Because I will never again allow you or myself to feel the heartbreak of losing those close, losing those we love because of chaos and brutality will be a distant memory after today." In an act of utter excitement Daemon lifts both hands in the air and says loudly "We live in a New Age of Peace!!" As his voice echoes through each who follow suit and scream those same words with him, he cannot help but smile.
