Big (maybe) announcement, also an update on things

(Not too such if this fits in RPG completely or not, I mean it is RP related, very RPG related but anyway even if it's moved y'all know it's a thing.)

Hey guys and gals, Angel here to catch you all up to speed on a couple of semi-personal things and big changes coming in the next few months or so, soooo let's get going with this thing.

Just to begin this whole blog... is it a blog? eh I don't really care anyway as I was saying this is my first foray into writing personally about my own life, experiences, yadda yadda yadda, so all's I'm saying is don't expect Tolkien, Hemingway or whoever wrote 50 Shades of Grey and a bunch of Twilight fan porn.

I started writing on the Vine about a year and a half ago when... I don't wanna exactly say I was just sitting on my but I was kinda just sitting on my ass, I was unemployed, desperately seeking work, not getting any and doing nothing remotely creative to the point that I was frustrated and honestly couldn't see any possibility of where I could do something creative...

but then I found ComicVine

This website gave me something to do when everything felt kinda futile, I would get the chance to write these amazing stories about Gods and Angels, Heroes and Villains, Rabbit Soldiers and... actually nothing really goes with that one, all with the hope that one day I could do this for a living and share these stories with the world (not to say I don't LOVE sharing them with the vine community, the amazing vine community, seriously guys give yourself's a high five) but then at some point I became creatively stifled, tired and honestly a little self conscious whether a lot of the stuff I was writing was good enough, I'd take hiatus's and still I'd come back to the drawing board and struggle with the same writers block. All of this was before a lot of very huge developments in my personal life, my first real job, going to all these new places I'd never been and finally starting at the bottom of the film making trade, which all didn't help with my writing.

I feel like as another footnote I should divulge something about myself, I believe wholeheartedly that life is all about balance, finding the right balance and not destroying all those metaphorical plates you have to spin in life. I've never been very good with balance, all of those plate would be smashed if I was spinning them, I've never been able to juggle and the one time I tried to eat soup while surfing the web well... you can draw your own conclusions while I type on this external laptop keyboard.

In the last few days though circumstances have changed again and this time I genuinely believe will make everything better. So the past couple of days I've been talking with a lot of small comic book companies as conventions and whatnot, discussing the difficulties of getting artists, difficulties of start ups and I 'let slip' my writing regular superhero comic stories, anyway I told them about the general outline of the Amazing Angel story, his origins, the choice between getting revenge on his families killer and risking his life to be a hero, all that good stuff and they seemed extremely interested in a lot of the ideas they had, eventually they got me talking to some of their artists and put my e-mail on a list of people to message for scripts and such, honestly I'm really excited and super excited at the moment to write in general.

So in conclusion this whole thing was half me gushing about how excited I am about all this and half about me explaining myself when it comes to delays and just general absenteeism without warning and as I final thing I just want to say to anyone I've ever kept waiting on anything, is that all of that is on my end, my writers block or my lack or schedule or just my straight up forgetfulness, I've never seen a writer on this site who lack skill, imagination and most importantly passion.

I really feel you in the start, I was in a similar situation (as you know of I think) and Comic Vine really helped me develop in ways I never thought were possible. If this is you announcing a hiatus, I'm sad...You were one of my first friends here, I even met you at Comic Con one year! You're one of the best writers I've seen, and I mean that, your attention to detail in your posts is so much fun. And c'mon, you were the one to help me with Zaniel, my favorite ever character in the history of my entire writing history. Anyhow, if this is you leaving, I hope life brings you the best it can, and you get your dream of writing, or working in the film industry :)

@brainchild: Much thanks... but this wasn't me announcing a hiatus, I'll still be writing just as much on the vine, if not more than before.

@peak: Thank you that means a lot that you think so highly of my writing, though like I said above this wasn't a hiatus thread, this was more of me just getting things off my chest, more of a new beginning than anything else... but even though this isn't me leaving now I know that day will probably be coming in the near future, something will eventually move it's way into my life that will take up more resources than I have to give

but that's in the future, a bridge I'll cross when I come to it, for now I'm here, I'm still catching up on stories, still reading, still writing, still fighting in the KOV which I WILL win this year, still doing what I'm doing till I'm not anymore. :)

Glad they found your character interesting, cause it's no less than AA and his writer deserve. I've known you for an year now, we didn't talk much, but you are one of those members that keep flashing back when I think about going on hiatus and I love your writing. Wish you find success, man.
