Part 1

Day 1:

Eyes flicker as a man awakens. He feels....free. Air rushing by.....why was air rushing by. The man didn't feel anything solid. The mutant warlord captured and incapacitated by M realized immediately that he was falling from the sky.

At first he wasn't afraid. Just just fire plasma from his hands as thrust and slow his descent. At least, that's what he would have done if his power worked. Indeed, the warlord lacked the durability, strength, telepathy and plasma projection he had before. He looked down to the ground and as he free falled and did not scream. He simply awaited his fate. Closing his eyes.

Splash.

The man's eyes open as he looked around underwater at the vast empty ocean. He did not question how he didn't know he landed in water. But he was thankful for it. What he wasn't thankful for was when he realized the stinging pain of hitting the water from such height. Such a thing would usually not hurt. He knew then he lacked his invulnerability.

No Caption Provided

Naturally the mutant-apparently-turned-man swims upwards towards the surface for air as he looked around. Taking in his surroundings. He looked to the sky, which was not there. His eyes grew wide when he realized, there was no sky. No sun. Only a black void where the sky was supposed to be. He looked on the horizon, and there nothing but black. No stars. No moon. No sun. No ceiling. Only blackness upon the horizon. Not only this, but...wasn't the sea. The man knew what the sea tasted like. Seawater didn't taste fresh.

He looked around to try and find some land or maybe some debris. Nothing. He went under to look under the water. the fear of sharks or deadly sea life in his mind. Gnawing at him. But there were no sharks. He only saw the empty depths, and went to land as he rose up to the surface once more.

Day 4

No sign of anything yet. The man feels like he floated for tens of miles in this black, unearthly place. No sign of humans or....life for that matter. He didn't find any food but water wasn't really a problem since all this water seemed to be freshwater somehow. He wondered where light came from. Considering this place wasn't dark ate all. He could see fine....

The Somali Warlord laid. Floating on his back in the water. Staring emptily into the sky. He then felt his head...hit something. Something solid. He flailed out and felt about. He washed up on land and didn't even notice it. He flipped up laying on his stomach and looked about to see what was there.

Instead of water. There was a cold ground made up of some smooth simple rock, and a black horizon.

Days turn to weeks.

Week 3

The man for the past few weeks had left the freshwater ocean a few days ago. Afraid to venture too far from it. The body can go a long time without food. But water? No. It would be nice to have some container to bring the water in. But he found nothing. When he left, and tried to return, he couldn't see or here the ocean anymore.

However. There was something he saw on the horizon. A...light of sorts. A beacon. He did what nearly any man would do he chased it. However. He never reached it. It would seemingly fade any time he drew nearer. It appeared and reappeared every time. He began to wonder whether or not the beacon was even there. Or if it was a beacon. It seemed more like a lie to him.

Now he laid on the ground. Giving up. Defeated. He simply awaited his death. His eyes were closed. and he only waited. But flickered when the light had shown brightly towards him. He opened his eyes and his mouth hung open, as Saliva dripped from his mouth.

Weeks turned to months.

Month 7

Every now and again. Food would be left for him. He didn't know how it got there. But it got there and he ate. It has been some time since he has seen the beacon. The man has seen no sign of much else but this cold ground and this black sky.

But he had begin to speak to himself. Frequently in fact. Sometimes he would get a brief glimpse at that beacon. It looked familiar to him. It was haunting him. He hated it for a long time. How it seemed to taunt him with it's light.

Eventually it stopped haunting him. He was content for some time....but then he asked for it to come back again. He preferred to be haunted then utterly alone.

Year 1, month 4

The man speculated who was haunting him from before. What the beacon. It was some woman. A village girl from years ago that he raped. He was convinced this was hell. And that this was going to be the rest of eternity for him. Wasn't exactly what he was expecting. He dealt with this in phases. He was angry. Trying to taunt her even. Taunt her with what he had done. Saying she couldn't harm him. Then she stopped appearing.

Year 14

He was on the ground, not having moved. He refused to eat now. But he did not die if he didn't eat. He lost much will to do anything. He has been broken for some time. Either way, there was a bright light. Now intent on picking up the pieces and shape him.

Mold him.
