Asylum Hotel(Location Thread)

Welcome guest, welcome! This is the Asylum Hotel! Formerly an asylum, it was shut down. We are located in Salem, Massachusetts. Our founder then made it a hotel in 1979.

We have three hundred rooms, each unique. They all belonged to an insane patient one point in time. We also still have the labs where some were lobotomized back in the 40's. You can visit this on our asylum tour(we will talk about that later). We have the greatest buffet area ever. It was formerly the asylums cafeteria. We serve all sorts of food, but business normally booms during brunch. We also have an arcade room. Note: if you hear the games talking to you, please tell a staff member. We will take care of the loose ends in the problem. Behind the hotel is the famous Insane Valley. It got its name from many of the former patients who killed themselves by jumping off. If you climb to the bottom you will end up at Devil Worship River. This river won Time magazines most dangerous river award. This is due to the current and the catfish that live in it. Fun fact: the Bruticus Catfish is only natural to our river and is said to be more vicious than a shark.

Th top floor is our first class floor. We have two rooms for first class. The benefits of these rooms involve......well.....let's just say.....you will ......see in good time.

People's favorite part of this hotel is the tour. You get to see all the places you normally wont go. Some of these exhibits involve famous patients rooms. One of these patients involve Hypno. He escaped the asylum and went around kidnapping women. He was eventually killed, but some say his ghost still haunts his room. You will also find the execution room and lab.

Please ignore all controversies around our hotel. People who went missing only stayed a night and disappeared on the road. Yes our hotel is made on top of a former devil worship place, but all remains of it are gone. There have been rumors that people have been driven insane by "ghosts", but they were always disturbed. Yes we do still have the famous mayan sacrifice knife in our hotel. You can find it in the execution room. It is only a rumor that this was used to kill people in the asylum. There is no recorded evidence of this rumor.

Note: please do not go downstairs. There are some dangerous machinery in the room so this is for your safety.

Our staff is very supportive. Sure their eyes look a little dead, but they are nice. They do not ask for tips and only want to make your stay comfortable. Their skin is a little grey, but it is natural for the people of this area. Our manager is rarely seen, but rest assured all criticisms go to him. Our cooks have the highest PHD in the cooking arts. They have served at many fine restaurants and decided to stay here.

Please stay, please stay. The road ahead is dangerous, it is important to rest. Stay a night or two. You will love it here. You will never want to leave.............

@joeagentofhand1: I like it. You might wanna add where its located, even if its a made up city or what have you. Just as a point of reference. Not bad though, I like the "haunted motel" angle.

@Quintus_Knightfall: Haunted? I do not know of what you speak. This is an ordinary hotel.

@Quintus_Knightfall: yes it is. The screaming at night is only your imagination. You might need to see an expert, we have many of those here. Please come down stairs, we will take care of you.

There were no clouds out tonight, allowing the moon to illuminate the landscape. The stars flickered in the sky just as diamonds spread across a silky smooth indigo blanket.Fog dispersed over frosty grass and frigid soil as a tenebrous woman set foot on to the yard of Asylum hotel, clad in the standard gear of her collectivist society.Shehad come to the hotel after catching a glimpse of a picture of the rumored to be haunted property on the cover of Time magazine. She wasn't much for ghost hunting or thrill rides. No. She was no adventurer either. She was a collector of priceless goods , preferably the kind endowed with supernatural qualities; and so upon seeing the picture and the words Haunted Hotel in big bold letters she relished the prospect of the eerie lodging possessing such relics.

Stepping into the entrance she casually strolled to the front desk to make reservations, resting her arm on the counter as she perused the interior of the building, not even looking to see who or what she spoke to. "A room for the night."

@Lady_Regalia: A grotesque grey looking man looked up and said"A guest how delightful! So for one night, what a pity. You will have room 268. It used to belong to a man who talked to a doll. He said it told him things and it told him to kill himself. If you go on our tour you will hear the rest of the story". He handed her the keys and stared at her with a fake smile.......

@joeagentofhand1: Her perusal of the lobby was cut short by the man behind the counter, whom she finally looked at. He was pale, looking somewhat ill. "A tour?" She repeated, flashing a genuine smile back. "After you."

@Lady_Regalia: He went onto the elevator and allowed the women inside. He pressed the button 9. On the way up screaming could be heard, but it was faint. The elevator stopped and the door opened. "Have a great time!"

@joeagentofhand1: She wasn't bothered by the screams, and even offered up a closed mouthed giggle, exposing her skepticism of the authenticity of the hotel's haunted-ness. "Sure. Will someone else be my tour guide, then? Or am I free to wander?"

@Lady_Regalia: "Someone else will guide you".The elevator door closed. As it closed a n old looking man came from the shadows. "You must be here for the tour". He began to escort he to the lab. "This is our famous asylum lab". The dead people on the tables looked fresh and recently killed.

As the collectivist exited the elevator an old man showed up seemingly out of nowhere and lead her to the Asylum Lab where bodies were spread out on tables, eerily realistic and fresh looking. She still wasn't bothered, she was no stranger to gore and death, or even the undead. "What was this lab used for?" she asked, brushing her bangs to the side with a hand.

@Lady_Regalia: "If you know anything about the 40's you would know many mental patients were lobotomized. The process was a slow one. They would saw the top part of the skull of, keep in mind the patients were 100% awake during this. Their screams could be heard for miles. The doctor would then grab a knife and forcibly remove a part of the brain".

@joeagentofhand1: A grin spanned her face as the old man explained the gruesome history of Asylum patients. "Brutal," she remarked, noting that there were no other residents present on the 9th floor just then. Could they be the bodies which lay before her?

"So this entire floor is reserved for your tourist attractions, or does anyone actually stay up here?"
