@mercy_: Looking the late night visitor in the eyes past his small tv, the guard turns the screen and reaches for the phone with a gulp, "Sir? Yes I understand....Yes I know, but that's why I'm calling. There's a young woman here looking for you who claims-- Yes sir, you have a good night too sir. He'll see you Miss Sheridan, just enter the elevator down the hall and furthest to the right. Not sure why but Mr.Newcastle made a point of it." His blinks were quick stricken and his muscles were tight. The name on his chest was Jon in fresh polished gold as though he'd only worn it for the first time today.

"Thank you." Bestowing him one last smile as her parting pleasure, Mercy was sure to take note of all the small details surrounding the security desk. Never one to forget a face that may come back at an inopportune moment, she committed little things such as the state of his nails, the fit of his clothes and the make of his watch to memory.

The elevator was thankfully devoid of the run of the mill musak fare and instead, the lilting notes of Beethoven's 5th played through. She could spot her reflection in the immaculate black lacquer that covered the deep wood of the interior. The red plush carpet sunk slightly beneath her heels, the picture of perfect luxury.

She straightened one of the peplum flares, putting her ensemble back to rights just as the elevator doors dinged open, having successfully transported her to her destination. The faint smell of Cuban cigar smoke wafted in as she stepped out. Before her was a heavy wooden door with an antique brass handle. Rapping her knuckles gently against it, she already began to take note of just where the windows and exits were in case of the need for a quick departing.

Ashley strutted behind Max trying to pieces to the puzzle, Max obviously was the “assistant” to whomever ran this place; so seizing the opportunity to have a face-to face could prove beneficial. “It’s Ashley, and that sort of depends on the job…sir” her attitude was apparent; but it was nothing that was going away.

Typically she could judge the intentions of a person based off the body language given off; not the case here. None of his mannerisms were consistent; shades of her first meeting with Max ran through her mind. “So what is it you foresee me doing?”

Maximus nods and turns back towards the work bench as Ashley and Thomas step into a capsule like elevator. The two shoot up towards the penthouse office and arrive in good time. Stepping out into the fire cracking room that smelled like fresh burning wood and passing the iron curtained windows Thomas grasps a cigar on the desk, clipping off the end and roasting the tup in the hot open flame until it began to crackle.

"Yes?" A man in a security outfit asks from behind his desk some 14 feet away, the lobby deserted in the mid day and the staff in their usual office melee upstairs.

Over an hour goes by, though not without reason. In truth Max spent a totaled half hour flipping back the monitors to watch the man and see if whatever his visit was about was worth waiting to be seen for. Respecting his itiative the younger of the Newcastle equation enters the lobby and walks to the man in the waiting room dressed in a black suit and red tie, "Max. Max Newcastle, what can I do for you...?" He says waiting on a name.

Simply playing this game was a time sucker which would probably get him killed one day, his eyes looked up at Newcastle tiredly, peeking at the time on a clock "An hour?" His eyes darted back to the game turning his phone off, standing up and extending his hand "An hour? Well, faster service than Peak" Chuckling to himself he donned his semi-serious face "I need some things..." He looked around "Best be said in secret"

In a casual cotton t-shirt tucked into freshly creased black slacks Thomas steps out of the elevator on his way to the buildings lower levels to do some work, stopping with a squint to examine the man at the front desk; The dapper civility of his attire made him instantly distinguishable. With somewhat a lack of officialism he curves a hand into a cone and yells across the semi vacant sunset painted lobby, "Andres!" The multifaceted palm turns into a signal to urge the new guest in the CEO's direction as he slowly begins to walk slowly to the compartment door.

Small nuances were picked up, the semi familiarity of the two figures who already stood in the room. It had the same plush red carpet that the elevator had. The walls were of a deep mahogany and artfully decorated with tasteful black and white photographs of seemingly random events in time, coupled with small artifacts, again seemingly random.

In Mercy's opinion, nothing was ever random, not in places like this.

She entered the room, an enigmatic Mona Lisa smile on her face, eyes sharp to all that was going on. Inclining her head respectfully she came to stand directly behind one of the chairs that had been placed in front of the oversize desk of a mahogany several shades darker than the walls.

There was a controlled chaos and tastefulness to the room, one which did not escape her notice. It would bode further interest later on, she was sure.

All that was known about her association with the line of work that had been called for was her membership in the Hellfire Club, something that could be shrugged off as innocuous, should it ever need to be. His use of her full name didn't worry her, it was the gleam of knowledge in his eye that he had a feeling of just what it was that she was capable of.

"A pleasure." Her voice was borderline monotonous. Not rude, nor eager, as her eyes flicked to the one named Ashley. "I heard word through the grapevine that your company required a service that I provide."

Negotiations are like poker; If i'm laying down chips you need to put more than your ass on the table, otherwise your playing for free."

Postured regalia and tangible flair dominant throughout confidently expressed body language. "Tis good to see you my friend", respectfully extending his right hand towards the powerful entrepreneur with the intent of a brief but firm introductory handshake, Andres continued, "This is quite the piece of infrastructure".

Walking with an upgraded pace Thomas shakes Andres hand with a welcoming smile, "You too. You came sooner than expected but I'm glad." Stepping into a seemingly unnecessary gap in the halls that extended far past the lobby and employee elevators, the CEO presses a dusty down arrow besides another elevator marked 'service and maintenance'

Stepping inside he and Andres begin a smooth but expedited ride down to the unblueprinted lower levels, "I appreciate that. It was based off of a design for a castle some 600 years ago with many different facets and uses. I modernized it to fit my needs, I'm not ashamed to say I'm prideful of it- Here we are. "

Thomas takes the lead, stepping out into a large sterile silver and machine blue laboratory coated in lights and screens, tubes of prematurely developed organs and walls of cybernetic limbs. "Down here we're completely private. I've shown you just a brief idea of what I have in my plans, at this moment you have the upperhand on me just by knowing this area exists. So let's give as much as we get, share a piece of your goals, I'll share another piece of mine. I don't doubt we'll find common ground somewhere along the way."
