Daddddd. I can see Ellie dropping alcohol out of her life quite easily :)

I'll have a post up after work tomorrow (today, I guess).

As part of the bio he does not hold it against anyone who drinks, or even gets drunk in any way, as long as they do not get behind the wheel.

He would never pressure her or make her feel guilty about continuing to drink, its simply a personal decision that applies to himself and no one else.

@armistice: The marriage proposal made me chuckle. But most of all you just...get Ellie. Her mannerisms, her motivations, her quirks. Perfect characterization and insight and it becomes more clear every post.

I can see where your coming from, but both of us would have written differently if that tension was there. We both knew coming in it was not even on the table so certain intimacies came easier. Hard to say where it would have led otherwise.

Hypothetically and just based on personalities and interactions as written, IMO they would either:

1 - Be soul mates

2 - Work and secrets would force Ellie into leaving Ian at some point.

@rain_eclipse_ves: Oh, I definitely agree. I feel like with romance taken out of the equation it makes them more...open with each other? Romance complicates things and entangles them and although they clearly love each other, they're not IN love and I always thought that there was an important differentiation between the two. Without having to worry about romance and the possible fallout of that, I think it leaves the relationship freer.

Looking at the Sovereigns thread I see Ian spilling his beans, you then yell at him and make him feel all guilty, emo, and sad.

I don't see Ellie giving away any secrets back....:)

After the speeches and ultimatums you gave him, if you break out a bombshell secret he will lose his mind.

you have yet to see him lose his temper. It's like a volcano, very rarely goes off but when it does, evacuate.

The only secrets she has off the top of my head are the Femmes de L'Ombre, which haven't been formed and her technopathy, which she hasn't even fully realized is happening yet (beginning alluded to earlier in the thread).
