The year was 2015. There was a term coined, Pax Americana, expressing the era of peace that the Zeiv administration had recently presided over. That was until, the assassination happened. One shot was all that it took to destroy a platinum age, pure and sanctified, twisted into a gnarled sense of parody. In all our progression we seemed atrophy in unexpected ways. Liberty was an all factor the the Ziev administration, he allowed under the Department of Justice for the constitutional right to bare arms and form a Malitia. If the Constitution deemed it so, it was. This among other things contributed to a country divided, the assassination was the blow to the hairline fracture in an otherwise pristine mirror. Alas, when Atticus Blaire took office officially one month later, things were already too far gone.
Talk of sussexsion from the Union by states like Texas, and Alabama had turned to purpose. Soon the confederation had risen anew, emboldened by the still unknown means if the killing, blamed meta humans for the murder. The numerous Malitias formed a rather cohesive army lead by a disgraced and ousted Army colenel, Payton Hass. They vowed to take revenge on the menace of meta. Only then did it come to be known that there were sects within the ranks, those that wanted to focus mainly on racial, or homophobic meta humans. And so the hunt began, persecution ran amuck until the day that everything changed.
March 24, 2015, three months after the assassination, Atticus Blaire appeared on television, not calling for peace but for action. He sent out an order to all meta humans, those within he hero community and those outside of it to fight back, and so they did. Within the confederation, things changed quickly, humans began to dissappear, or end up murdered. Atticus, had lead them into a war that the humans couldn't win. He had massive groups of telepathy target entire states, pinpointing humans and causing them to commit suicide. Using that as a means if posture, he demanded that all meta humans join him or suffer the same fate. There was not much of a choice, and so humanity had finally succumb to their own past. Enslaved, shackled, famished, beaten and sold. A dark cloud had covered the country and his name was Atticus Blaire.
Things continued in this vein for two more years. And the Atticus of today has seen this abysmal future, but is it too late to change. Who else has seen this future and who will try And stop him before he can even begin?
