On a night were the moon was out in full bloom, much like a divine rose, revealing its true beauty for the first time. A lone man was walking through the silence that was the night air. Even the soft wind did not disturb the peaceful tranquillity. Stars like cherry blossoms, were a sight to behold, as with the moon they lit up a city of ancient beauty, and glorious battles. Slowly he walked through the city of , wearing normal clothing, in the form of three quarter shorts and a blue t-shirt. Covering them a jet black cloak hung loosely upon his shoulders. A hood draped over his head, as he appeared to blend with the darkness. As he continued walking. He gently brushed his hand along a large wall. The few people those were out, walking amongst the stars. Greeted him with a smile and a cheery disposition. Though they showed a happy façade, he cold see right through to their real emotions.

The elegant night, however peaceful would again not bare witness to a world of peace. Eventually he arrived at the coliseum. The ancient structure, had had been the host of many ancient battles, and he was no stranger to such a place. He had once battled here against the immortal Cassie Strong. Again he walked its sandy floor. Feeling the voices that had once echoed around during battles, that caused pain, anger, sorrow and above all else glory.

Acer knew he was heading into a battle, and he knew his opponent, yet he did not know him. He had heard his name, and heard stories of his amazing life. Once serving as a member of the team Acer now proudly served. Though he knew such minor things, he did not know what drove Hawk and the full extent of his abilities. Removing his hood, his aqua eyes glanced to the starlight sky, as the moon reflected upon meeting them. Gently breathing he felt nervous. A nerve that was not new and one he had found was difficult to control. Running a hand through his wavy hair, he calmed himself. This was not his first battle and it was not his first tournament. He had entered two; both times he succeeded in reaching round two, only to fall at that particular hurdle. Acer stood, his eyes closed, as he began to meditate, waiting for the arrival of Hawk.

The night was dark except for the glowing moon high in the night sky. He guided himself by the stars, letting the cool air blow his hair back off his face as he danced on the breezes. He closed his eyes and rode the air currents up and down letting his wings catch the warm air and fill them up. Once again the call had been put out for the best of the best to compete, for nothing more than glory. The greatest warriors of this time would be facing each other head to head like gladiators of old. Hawk couldn't help but think about that fact as he circled his final desination and perpared himself to battle once again.

Acer the ICE file filled his head. Hawk had studied his opponent, showing him the respect that he deserved. This was not a man to be taken lightly. His plan of attack would be solid and ever changing but he knew the goal, spill less blood than the other man.

Hawk landed in the courtyard and went against his tradional entrance of pure speed and strength. Squatting down Hawk put his hands on the dirt, grabbing a handful he let it run through through his fingers. The bones of the past lived in this dirt and some of the greatest warriors lost their lives standing upon it. Hawk pulled out his dagger and slit his wrist letting blood pour out over his hand and onto the ground. My blood spilled in respect to you. The wound closed and healed quickly as Hawk said a silent prayer to the warriors who had fallen here in the past.

He walked into the huge areana and Hawk could hear in his ears the roar of audiences past. His wings were tucked neatly behind him, Hawk pulled his mace letting it hang down from his right hand as he pulled on his battle helmet. The red eyes of the helmet glowed as he walked into the center of the ring. Acer was meditating when he arrived. Hawk stopped short of him and bowed low. Shortly the battle would begin and once again blood would be spilled on the floor of the coliseum.

So their he stood, again awaiting the arrival of yet another opponent. The atmosphere around him was near completley silent, save for the wind and the rustling of goden sand, beneath his feet. Yet in his mind, he could hear thje roar of an anxious crowd, waiting for the match to begin, and in his heart he could feel the exitment of those who had long been dead. Becoming the ash that now soiled much of the beloved city. He did not know his opponent, but he knew him to be a hero. Fighing maybe for the same reasons as him. To make the world a better place. Acer knew the fight could go to a point that he did not want it to. It was a pride, that overcame in battle. One that would push his body even if the outcome meant deat. Those two tournaments he had entered, the opponents he lost to. Both were dear friends and yet he pushed himself to death, and it may very well happen again on this night. A moon was white but it may soon turn red.

As he awaited the arrival of Hawk, he thought up strategeis on how to beat the man, but he couldn't think of anything. Opening his eyes, Acer noticed Hawks arrival, well more like felt his arrival. Noticing the mace, and helmet. Acer knew the match would prove difficult, his opponent hadthe spped and an aerial advanatge. He had faced opponents with flght before, luckily they kept to the ground for most of the fight. Acer hoped would be the same.

Like the old warriors who followed a strict code of honour, the two men bowed to the other. A sign of respect even in a day where respect was fading. He knew that was the sign for the battle to start, and it seemed as though he would be the one to begin. The wind brushed against his back. Taking that to account, Acer releases his cloak as it whissped towards Hawk. Hoping the distraction would work Acer moved in at an incredible pace, as he did he drew a katana that had been hidden. It's handle shaped like a dragons head. Unsheathing it Acer aimed a slash to the right side of Hawk. He quickly sheathed the Dragon Katana before turning to inspect if any damage had been made.

With a whisper of the wind the battle begun. Acer moved with a great speed as his cloak flowed in the wind. Hawk saw the blade quickly and his keen eyes focused in on the dragon handle that reminded him of his old advisory T7, with a dash Acer made a strike passing by and then sheathing the blade as if it had never been pulled. The sting of the blade brought light to his eyes and once again his eyes raged red. Though Hawk saw the blade and his defense was solid he allowed the strike. A sliced ran across Hawk’s left arm and blood started to wash down it after a heart beat of a pause. He stood still not out of lack of speed or being unable to defend, but as the wound healed over Hawk glared at Acer was only one thought. It’s gonna take more than that. Hawk had a feeling that more was coming, but even a little intimidation goes a long way.

With a smirk Hawk’s feet left the ground, without any trace that he was even there besides the blood that had pooled on the ground. He rotated his body flipping feet over head until his feet were pressed against the wall opposite of Acer. With a swimmer’s like push off the wall Hawk showed Acer his own display of speed. The air whizzed as he flew towards the cloaked man mace in hand. The stroke of his mace became super-sonic as it traveled towards it’s target letting out a huge boom that rocked the walls of the coliseum. Hawk rose into the air high above and started to come down for a second attack, but the wind that he created had kicked up enough dust for him to not see Acer clearly.

Since he the dust hung in the air Hawk would use that as an advantage. With one arrow Hawk filled the air with a sticky flammable liquid, then he sent the next down exploding before it hit the arena floor. The whole area light with a blaze of fire as his homemade napalm fell to earth.

Like every tournament that Hawk had entered before, he was place against someone he respected and admired. Acer was no exception. The skills that it took to even survive in this world were impressive, but to thrive, now that made you a threat. Acer didn’t know much about Hawk except he was a hero and had saved many lives and defended what was right. This might be his downfall, Hawk is and always had been one thing above all…..a killer.
