this series looks good

If only it had kept at least the fun wit & charm of the first 4 issues through its entirety... I'm just SO disappointed with the way the series ended in #11

Basically nothing of true consequence happened to Rocket in those books, no true character development, no iconic villains or frenemies unless we count Sale & Ex Terminators and bare skeleton of an overarching plot to tie the issues together which would have been fine if the series had still been heart-warming fun rides instead of this tepid mess. It's almost as if Scottie Young was incapable of seeing past Rocket's 'cartoony' aesthetics and focused solely on whacky hi-jinx's as if writing some kind of ducky dodgers fan-fic comic instead of a solo title to Marvel's cosmic superhero whose legitimately saved the Universe at least twice.

I really wanted to like the series but after all is said and done, a mediocre writing is mediocre. I can only hope Groot doesn't peter out the way Rocket did.
