Reactron Cast on 'Supergirl'

A new villain is coming to take on Kara in CBS' Supergirl. According to THR, Sons of Anarchy alum Chris Browning has been cast as Ben Krull or better known on the show as 'Reactron." His first appearance will be in episode three and there's potential for him to be a recurring villain on the new series. Browning is joining some other villains like Peter Facinelli who is playing Max Lord.

Reactron was a Supergirl villain in the comics who wore a special suit that makes him into a nuclear reactor. Later on, Kryptonite became involved in his suit as well, which, if the show covers it, can be a big problem for Kryptonians.

Supergirl makes its debut on CBS on Monday, October 26 at 8:30/7:30C.

Never heard of this villain before, but good for Supergirl though... You know what I mean.

With as cheap as Pesuarder looked, I don't imagine this villain will look good either, the budget for the show seems extremely low and poorly applied

@rubear: By "good for Supergirl" I did mean that the show seems to have a great villain. Unless, you're giving me one of his worst deeds ever committed as an example of his prominence in the comic book world. If that's the case, then he is a bad MOFO.

@docholiday: That was Persuader in the Pilot? I thought he said his name was Vartox...

I don't recall but I know he has the same weapon as Persuader

@docholiday: Nope, not Persuader, I just checked again and it's certainly Vartox. Or some sort of angry, merciless, less colourful version of him at least.

Vartox (not Persuader) and Reactron on the show...Come on, Maxima...

So was Lois And Clark, but people liked that show.

Super lame villain.

I hope they don't throw in Kryptonite just to make her villains more powerful than her. It should be a poison not a insta powers off switch. Never really heard of this guy but it sounds like he is in the same vein as Metallo.

Could Reactron be the worst super-villain name ever?

I'm just wondering why Superman doesn't come to help Kara?

@nightfang: it's addressed in the pilot. He keeps an eye on her, but wants her to be her own hero.

Nice to see they're bringing on one of Supergirl's villains instead of a Supes one.

for those of you that don't know, Reactron is like Metallo, only powered by gold K, and was Kara's Post-Crisis arch-nemesis

They are lining up a lot of foes for her to face.

@the_stegman: That is the lamest excuse ever. Why not say he's dead, trapped in the Phantom Zone or on a mission in deep space? That why Kara could fight his villains (Intergang, Toyman, and maybe Brainiac), without wondering wheres Superman!

@nightfang: if the show was about her filling in for Superman, she'd be no more than a mop up crew.
