Powers Gets Renewed for a Second Season

Powers was the most watched premiere on the Playstation Network, and the rest of the season apparently did well, so it makes sense that Powers was just renewed for a second season. According to The Hollywood Reporter, that's just the case. John Koller, vp platforms marketing at Sony Computer Entertainment America had this to say:

The reception to Powers has been incredible and we are thrilled to have successfully launched a platform for original content with the PlayStation gamer in mind... We believe original content will continue to be a key pillar as we broaden the value proposition for PlayStation Plus, and we’re excited for what’s to come with season two of Powers.

No news yet on when the second season is coming, but we'll keep you updated.

You know what's weird. Powers isn't available on the PSN Network in Canada. Sony owns the network, why isn't it available wherever they are?

Some of the acting is terrible too.

The Tv version of the Wolfe better than the comic book one.

Looks like this turned out exactly as I expected. From the trailers and screenshot, it looked so awkward and low budget. It reminded me of Hemlock Grove, that weird Netflix horror show that came out awhile back. Just amateur hour across the board. Sad because I was actually super hype for it when it was announced.

this show is so bad. i can't believe it was greenlit. the first few episodes were hilarious (in a bad way). it got better but not enough to even be watch-able. the performances by the leads were so over done and you really see how poorly comic book writing translates to screen. i love Forbes. she's the only actor who isn't overacting every line in the show. but even she can't save this sinking ship. 1/5 stars.

This was an awesome show. I don't know why people are sleeping on it. It put a cool spin on the Superhero genre, at least in terms of tv shows.

it was a good show with a cheap production value ...It looks like a cheap movie with subpar CGI but the story was good and the plot was ambitious ...needs a better budget but has potential

1) Okay the writing is corny- people know this is a bendis book turned into a show right?

2) the visual affects kinda suck- Obviously this wouldn't have a big budet no surprises there.

3) the acting kinda sucks (espically the guy who plays walker)

4) all this bein said I still like this show and I'm really glad they renewed it for a second season, walker and retro girl had that thing going on and then how it ends I didn't see that shit coming lol. Johnny royal is a badass, teleports people's heads off, come on that's awesom!!! I'm liking the calista character too and how she finally gets powers the last episode but her and her relationship with Johnny have always annoyed me. Anyway like I said before I'm excited for a second season
