So who thinks the Pokemon anime would have been more effective if it went the route of the Pokemon Adventures manga ? Or like Digimon ? You know each season have a new protagonist. Ash is so boring.

What do you folks think of Sylveon, Eevee's new evolution? Any guesses on what type it may be? Most seem to think normal.

Which Gen 6 starters are you guys thinking about using? I usually choose the water type but my friend who buys the opposite game as me called Froakie, so I think I will settle on Chespin. I love his little leaf hood/hat. I'm hoping they turn out to be double types as some of the previous starters were.

@Fuchsia_Nightingale: Never said it didn't have a use, just that it would be more useful. ;P A steel one would be badass. Should have kept the name Sylveon for that, since it sounds like silver. :p

Anyone else buying a 3DS purely to get X and/or Y?

@Fuchsia_Nightingale: Lol, I usually get one of the first normal pokemon you run into, that can learn most of the hm's, to be my hm slave. :p I had been using Bidoof the last couple games. Aw so are you going to even play X/Y? I know the general gameplay for pokemon games never change, but these last couple games have had so many new bonus features that I feel it justifies the purchase for people who think the games are all the same.

I mean stuff like surf and jazz waterfall really ? I never found a good water one, outside slowpoke ! not that tentacools aren't cool, but i don't like two of the same type, like two poison (even poison water lol)

I feel like I'm out of the loop so much. I only remember Gen 1.

Personally, I want them to grow up a bit, maybe take a jump forward and make the series' tone a bit more mature and maybe even darker. Make Ash older, maybe have Pikachu get beaten so bad in the very first battle of the series that he's forced to evolve, etc. If they did that, and kept the tone mature rather than just dark, I'd return to watching Pokemon. As it is, he's been around ten for I couldn't tell you how long. My suspension of disbelief is BROKEN. Though I stopped watching around Gen 3. It's possible they've changed the series to this in my absence. But since it's Nintendo, I'm betting they haven't.

@JonSmith: Gen 3 did attempt at making ash wiser, but all of that goes down drain in the later season. I tried to get back on latest season but this scene pissed me off

Is that Ash scanning a Koffing because he had NO idea what it was, despite him being chased by one for AT LEAST an entire season, only for it to later evolve into Weezing, thus giving him full knowledge on it and it's evolutionary line?

Because that what it looks like. Even though there's no way even NINTENDO would be dumb enough to do that.

Nintendo hardly writes the anime, and yeah that what happens to ash in every new season past gen3, he gets a reset button to the point of using pokedex on literally every pokemon he's encountered 50 times already

My 3DS is coming today (hopefully) and I'm celebrating by playing FireRed and Diamond.

Grew up on the very first gen and cannot wait for the next gen to come out. I don't have a 3DS but plan on picking one up before Pokemon X & Y comes out. I'll probably either get Fennekin or Froakie. Though lately Chespin's been growing on me so it'll be a tough decision. >__<

Gen 1: Blastoise, Raichu, Venomoth, Flareon, Dodrio, Sandslash; Gengar, Snorlax, Alakazam, and Dragonite in rotation.

Gen 2: Feraligatr, Espeon, Charizard(bred from my friend's original Charizard), Ampharos, Scizor, Donphan. (Honestly, I hated this team except Espeon and Scizor).

Gen 3: (MY F***ING BABIES they're all on Black now!!!) Sceptile, Metagross, Camerupt, Milotic, Flygon, Dusclops,Absol; featuring HM slaves: Linoone, Garydos, Pellipper.

Gen 4: (MORE BABIES! Also on Black) Lucario, Torterra,Milotic, Dusknoir, Magmortar, Togekiss;Garchomp, Weavile, and Luxray in rotation.

Gen 5/ My current babies: Lucario, Samurott, Haxorus, Sceptile, Magmortar, Togekiss;Volcorona, Dusknoir, and Vanniluxe rotation.
