Robert said he started reading comics late in life. I'd like to know what sparked his interest and what he was into prior?

I always think Green Lantern should be like Game of Thrones in space, I mean you have these hugely powerful factions all with a different emblem and ideals, they should be fighting it out for power with plots, alliances, back stabbing and political intrigue.

I know I might get some flack for this, but can we hear more about the guest? The people who ask questions ask the same questions in different ways every week. I don't want to sound like I don't want to hear what you think on the questions, because I do, but you say the same thing for every podcast. I know it is incidental, but you quote yourself word for word. I would also like to hear what the guests have to say. Preferably before you answer the questions for them. And I don't mean to tell you how to do your job. It is just a suggestion based on what I would like to hear versus what I'm hearing. You could dismiss this comment if you think it's rubbish. Whenever I have a comment like this here, I always only mean it as a suggestion. I'm not all-knowing and I know some of my suggestions could be a stretch.

@doordoor123: Not sure if I understand your comment/suggestion. The first hour of this, and most episodes, is about the guest. They don't always stay for the community questions due to their time and schedules. Also, I have had some tell me they prefer the question part over the guests. But it's my goal to continue both, guests and questions.

I honestly believe that the fact that Vendittie started reading comics older than most folk is the reason he's such a good comic writer

@g_man: Hey was wondering about your comics piling up in your office, I think you buy the TPB versions of the books in that office and sell the single printed issues online to leave out some empty space. Unless you really like holding on to single printed issues...then you might have a problem in the near future. lol

I really enjoyed listening to Venditti. I didn't know much about him before this. He seems like a smart and thoughtful guy. The guests on this podcast are consistently excellent.

I especially appreciated how he didn't try to hide that he is not a life long comics fan. Rather than try to BS through questions, he just said things like "I've never read about Nightcrawler, so I don't know." He must know you can't fool this audience. But he clearly researches the continuity that he needs to know for his projects.

Robert Venditti is a great guy and a great writer. I never had much of an urge to read Green Lantern until now.

It drives me nuts hearing people try to 'fake' it. People that know can tell. I have no problem admitting Legion of Superheroes is my Kryptonite. I'm more familiar with them from the wacky Silver Age/Superboy stories that I managed to read.
