The thumbs up and down is gone for most comments and the reply to comments is gone. Are they coming back?
Do we need a petition?
Here's a few youtube petitions:
47,000 users petition YouTube to change back comments section
Earlier this year, Google revamped the comments section of YouTube, integrating it with its Google+ social network. And now, more than 47,000 people are petitioning YouTube to revert the comments section to its original form. The petition, hosted on Change.org, says Google is forcing users into creating accounts for a social network they don't want to use with the new comments section. The change has also stripped users of their ability to post comments anonymously, the petition says. “They have completely RUINED a great thing. Comments were the number one reason why I checked my YouTube account daily. Now that desire is gone," says the top comment posted in response to the petition on Change.org. (As a side note, that comment, which has received nearly 900 'likes,' appears to have been left anonymously under the name "James Gandolfini," the late star of the hit HBO series "The Sopranos.") PHOTOS: Google barge to be 'unprecedented artistic structure' Change.org said the YouTube petition is currently the most active one on the website. It was posted on Thursday. Change.org said there are several other petitions that also ask YouTube to change back its comments section. Google introduced the new YouTube comments section in September as a way to curtail the amount of hateful comments left by users, who often posted anonymously. The new comments section was also designed to display comments that would be relevant to every individual user. Rather than simply display the last comment left as YouTube previously did, the new comments section emphasizes comments left by users' friends, the creators of videos, celebrities or comments left by others that have received a lot of interaction.
@cezar_thescribe: It won't work bro'. I doubt it even if there's a small possibility.
But yeah, YouTube forced me to connect my account to my Google + page to keep my username (and not change it to my full name) or else it prevented me from commenting. Pretty messed up. I don't mind Google + actually, it's less muddled that Faebook and has more features. It just doesn't have my friends on it though. But hell to the no for connecting it with YouTube, I dislike the new layout.
My story. ^
Can't they just keep things as is. Why do they keep changing things?
And I wish they would stop trying to get me to change my username too. I am HAPPY with it :/

And now can't even comment without stupid Google+
I don't want Google+, I just want Youtube.
These
I don't get what the changes are....can someone tell me?
You can't login into youtube to comment, unless you have a google+.

I hope not that would piss a lot of people off bigtime lol
The funny thing is that it was 1 year ago, when Youtube finally said they quit at fixing Youtube problems.
They aid the couldnt fix the subscription problem without getting back at the older layouts, they decide to put new layouts and new layouts and never fix the new problems every new layout brings, this screw the views of many users.
They even killed the old solution they give, even when it show they were stupid and didnt knew how to do their job, at least it show they cared.
@vaeternus: I actually have a bad feeling that Youtube is going to start charging money for membership in the near future. lol
That would piss people off royally lol

If it isn't broken don't fix it.

This x a billion...lol
...I actually like it, I can still navigate the website fine, plus now I actually have spell check on my mobile device when I post a comment, before, it was only available through the YouTube app.
@the_stegman: You are in a rare breed lol. The one thing that is better I will admit is the dumb "no limit characters" rule in the comments, everything else though imo needs major work though. That circle thing is rather annoying. I have an android YT app so not sure if I have spell check but that's not an issue for me, I'm a good speller.
