I'd probably off myself before killing either, assuming they tame, I couldn't break that trust. If they were wild rabid animals though i'd go for the dog, more meat on it.

The cat if I had to, because I think the dog would be more helpful alive. But I'd wait as long as I could before I ate either.

There's only two possible things to eat on the whole island, so why bother staying there if you'll soon starve? I'd try to make a raft or something to get off that island.

Lol I cant help it man I don't like killing other living things. But I guess im kind of a hypocrite because I fish a lot, but I catch and release most of the time, unless I specifically go out to catch fish that also happen to be good to eat (Striped Bass, Flounder, Spadefish, Sheepshead, Mahi, Tuna etc.)

I didn't even have to read the op to know where this is going. Eat the cat save the dog. I love cats but, there gonna have to be for dinner.

Cats are better at hunting even when there's nothing there so I'd just let it do it's thing and steal what's left...

Lol what? That might be true but they usually don't die. I have fished my whole life in many many different places and every fish I have ever thrown back has lived except for the rare unfortunate few that swallow the hook and bleed out from their gills.

Neither since i know dogs can be extremely helpful in survival situations plus i'd need the company so i don't go insane & off myself.
