Sting signing a contract with WWE, has brought back many memories. I will surely watch WWE when Sting makes his debut. So I was interested and wanted to know if people's opinion changed in the top ten wrestlers of all time. Also, favorite moments?

  1. The Rock
  2. Stone Cold Steve Austin
  3. Undertaker
  4. Sting
  5. HBK
  6. The Hitman Hart
  7. HHH
  8. Macho Man Randy Savage "OOHHHHH YEEEEAAHH"
  9. Rick Flair (Don't like him, but very successful)
  10. Kurt Angle/Brock Lesnar (Both have remarkable feats in and out the ring)

Favorite Arch was the Sting vs. The NWO story arch.

Many honorable mentions to give, but i'll name a few... Sabu, RVD, Daniel, Mankind and all the egos (except Dude Love), and many others.

Since when is Sting signing with WWE?

As for the question (I'm assuming this is just top 10 favorites):

  1. Kurt Angle
  2. Austin Aries
  3. Robert/Bobby Roode
  4. Chris Jericho (in his WCW run anyway, haven't seen much elsewhere)
  5. Team 3-D (Brother Ray & Brother Devon (AS A TEAM, not individually)
  6. Raven
  7. Sting
  8. James Storm
  9. Scott Steiner
  10. Shawn Michaels

Honorable Mentions: Alex Shelley, Samoa Joe (at times), AJ Styles (I don't like his mic work or personality, but he's fantastic in ring)

I also agree with OP about Sting vs NWO

Eh, I was more of doing a top 10 favorite wrestlers.. Here's my all time wrestlers list:

1. Hulk Hogan

2. Ric Flair

3. Undertaker

4. Macho Man

5. Stone Cold

6. The Rock

7. Shawn Michaels

8. Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase

9. Ultimate Warrior

10. HHH

Honestly I don't see how you could call yourself a wrestling fan if you leave Hulk Hogan out of your top 10 all time.. The man ruled wrestling in the 80's and the 90's.. He caused a worldwide phenomenon known as Hulkamania. The man even had his own cartoon.

@keithcolby1995: lol.. That's more of my personal favorites.. I made another one for the all time.. But yeah I grew up in the late 80s and 90s.. So I pretty much watched them wrestle throughout my childhood. I'll admit I'm not a fan of wrestling nowadays, but 80's-90's wrestling was awesome.. and yeah, I enjoy the Attitude era

Yes, he did give the WWF the huge boost to what it is today, but I have reasons. He has a very very very limited moveset. His mic skills wan't impressive. He had the biggest ego, and would not fall very often, ever. Ever heard of the story about him wrestling Stone Cold? He also was a very slow, and un-entertaining. I respect what he has done for wrestling, but he is not top ten. Probably the most important.

I've heard the later two things, but I've heard nothing about him officially signing a contract with them.

@thecannon: Not a talent contract yet, but Triple H is talking with him still. Hunter said in an interview "Never say never" about signing Sting. Sting and Vince talk oftenly. I have high hopes though. Despite him being like 55 haha.

  1. Abraham Lincoln. Granted, this was nothing like either form of modern wrestling, but he certainly made good.
  2. Hulk Hogan. Personally, I can't stand the guy, but he was a key component of making Wrestling what it is today.
  3. Gorgeous George. One of the first pretty boys
  4. Ric Flair. One of the best of the pretty boys, and the first real dominant 'faction' in American wrestling (the Four Horsemen)
  5. Vince McMahon. Seriously, he ate the competition
  6. Stu Hart. Bret would be nowhere without the foundation (shush) he built.
  7. Fabulous Freebirds, with the nod to Hays, for taking Tag Teams from a one off sideshow to headliner events.
  8. Andre the Giant, the biggest of the 'big men'.
  9. (and 10) Bobby Heena, for winning a battle royal by hiding under the ring.
  10. and Gorilla Monsoon. as Wrestling went to the television, they could breath life into even the worst 'jobber' match.

1) Rick Flair. No one was as good as him for as many years as he was. Theres a reason why his matches are still required study material.

2) Bret Hart. Bar none the best technical wrestler of all time, he helped start the attitude era.

3) Hulk Hogan. He was sh*t in the ring, but so much of what he did help build the concept of the "superstar"

4) Stone Cold Steve Austin. Made ten times as much money as hogan did, and brought an exciting style of wrestling that persists today

5) Chris Benoit. A gifted in ring technician that revitalized a higher standard of in ring athletics, who made some unfourtante choices in his later years

6) El Santo. he practically invented Lucha Libre

7) Lou Thesz. The very first worlds champion.

9) Mick Foley. he proved you can be a star and not have a carb depleted body

10) Vince Mcmahon. without him, wrestling would have died long ago

@cuddlebear: What? HHH has a great move pool. Entertaining. Good story archs. Could be heel and face. R.I.P Eddie, but Hunter is better than Eddie easily. Arguably equal to HBK. And if you got a problem with that, we got two words for yaaa. lol

Like Sting, he is good but not great in everything he does, like i said 9 and 10 are arguable. Guerrero is the better wrestler and maybe better on the mike but not as succesful as HHH, i wouldn't mind HHH swapped for Guerrero but i don't think it is un-thinkable to exclude HHH from the top 10 especially for the likes of Guerrero and angle. but HHH arguably equal to HBK? that was a funny joke right? i just can't feel your sarcasm through the internet on that one, right? I think 1-8 are set in stone, 9 and 10 could be anyone from HHH, Sting, Dusty Rhodes, Angle, Lesnar, Cena(ugh), Benoit (eww)

John Cena can't wrestle. He proved that vs Cesaro. Cesaro out performed him the whole match. And he botched his hurricanna and his monkey flip. Its ashamed WWE is going to let him pass Ric Flairs title record.
