Your son is attempting and is coming close to destroying the world. You are his only weak point. Do you kill him or let him succeed?

Probably the world. I can't condemn billions just so my son can do what he wants.

Hide my wife then destroy them both, and rebuild humanity.

And what's wrong with all of the steps in between killing the kid and doing nothing? It'd never have got to that stage with my son (if I ever had one), because of a little thing called 'proportionate discipline'.

If he is truly my son, I won't do anything because I know he'll make the right choice of not destroying humanity. And if he was crazy, he'd never be in position of destroying the world. I'd make sure of that.

Considering that I don't have a son and don't plan on having one, I'd probably pick the world.

If it were Humanity, I might let him get away with it. The world itself though, there's no doubt I'd kill him.

Unless he's doing it Dr. Evil style by hanging out on the moon and taking out Earth from there, I don't even see how this is even a question.

Some of these responses are rather disturbing. No offense to whoever I may be talking about but I don't think many of you really would kill your son in a situation like this. People aren't realistic enough.

If the question was "your father or the rest of the world" I think people might think differently considering not many of you would have sons but you all have fathers.

Uh, I am only 19 and I have 2 parents, 3 grandparents, 3 siblings and tons of other people I love equally. Who knows how many more people I will meet I will befriend.

No one is saying that they will smile after they kill their son, but saying you wouldn't kill someone you love (even though they are evil or insane) is just down right stupid. I would kill my own family in a heartbeat to protect innocents.

Heck, I know my family would want me to do that and so would I.

I don't have a son. But if I did I'd do what I have to do.
