Your Hero Is Stupid

Did anybody besides me have a father who made fun of their favorite superhero growing up?

I can't count the number of times my dad shouted at the tv advising Spider-Man's villains to use bug spray.

ACTUALLY, my dad got me into comics, and mom doesn't care/

My dad said Spider-Man didn't have powers. Pissed me off.

No. Everyone loves Superman.

Nope, my father was actually good at being one.

My dad is the biggest geek I know so...no.

Yup, last summer my dad took plenty of shots at Superman. I don't even want to think about what he would say if I showed him Captain Marvel.

My dad would take shots at Goku.

Cant say that I recall him saying anything like that. He was pretty cool from what I can remember of him before he died.

Although he kind of likes Green Lantern, he even liked his live action movie.

My father is fairly ambivalent to comics as a whole. He enjoys Christopher Reeve's Superman and Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man though.

My dad makes comics. His comics got me into comics. If he said any of my heroes were stupid...

Nah, my dad got me into comics in the first place.

My dad is so oblivious to comic books and it's characters. He barely knows the origin of Superman and Batman.

Have no recollection of my father, but since I'm into manga/anime, most Main Protagonist are branded as BAKA.

My dad introduced me to my favorite super hero, there were plenty of other areas in which he was an asshole but he was always cool with comics.

Nope, got into comics from my dad's comics. He was into Batman and I was more into Spider-man as a kid so he enjoyed asking questions about a hero he didn't know about.

X-Men movies. Liked Hugh Jackman's Wolverine, and the fanboyism continued to comics.

My dad loved the classics, and the only problem he has with new superheroes on the tube is the amount of CGI used.

I'm a bit too shy. I remember my parents laughing outside my door once while I watched Sonic (they had come in the room and left so they knew what was on tv) and since then I've been extremely secretive about the nerdy stuff I like. I don't know if they know what I'm into or not, and I don't really care.

My father had a ton of GI-Joe & Spiderman comics when I was growing up but I never actually read any of them - I was a fool and kept playing video games.

We both often saw CBM's together; however, and we always enjoyed those.

I got into comics at the age of 18 so he couldn't really make fun of me that much in a way that was offensive - nor did he - now I've got the nickname 'Flash' at my University & I run a successful blog on the internet.

It's pretty cool - I'm gonna see if my Dad still has all those comics...

My dad is the reason I love Spider-Man. He does too.

He has several Spider-Man tattoos and had a super awesome hood decal (until he crashed it)

I am fairly certain papa doesn't even know who Stephen Strange is , so yay me..

My Father and myself both got into comics at the same time, with Spawn.

We now both have Spawn tattoos, so he doesn't make fun of my heroes. He does, however, make fun of the fact that I am 20 and still reading Comic Books.

My dad is one of those grumpy guys that only loves sports. He always makes fun of anything comic related if I bring it up.

My makes fun of it to, and my brother....and my sisiters....and my aunts, uncles, everybody in my family thinks that it is childish and whenever I am around (which I am not because of this) they make fun of me...my family is composed of a bunch of dicks.
