My 2 favorite characters are not well known for wearing many costumes, i'm going with my third:
But his classic costume is pretty awesome, and the modern one depends on the artist.

Though I'm having a mental debate if he's an actual favorite character or I'm just particular found of this steam-punk game-series / successor to .Hack.
If this is strictly comics, then I have no idea. It's tough to pick favorites.
