@thatguywithheadphones: I started it some time ago, but I haven't finished it. It's just so disheartening because it's extremely long. I think I ended up going on hiatus at about volume... 50? 60? Somewhere along those lines.

@thatguywithheadphones: How many comics are you currently following? And how many manga?

If you could get anything for Christmas, what would you want?

What do you think of the art for The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl?

  • Comics: About 7 Manga: At least 30 . . . maybe more.
  • I'd want a PS4 an a bunch of Games
  • I think it works for the character.

I'm currently only following five comics (four ongoings and a miniseries), but there's more on the way. I'm not following any current manga (although I am reading and loving Rurouni Kenshin), but I'm open to suggestions

My biggest problem with Henderson's art is the way she draws faces. I do like SG's new costume though.

. . . Just read it bro. One you get past the very first arc and get to the good stuff, you'll be so into the story you'll constantly dread the idea that you're reaching the end.

Can you spot this double entendre?

"I shine like an Emerald, when I hit you----Bam! Bam! Dude! You're just a frighten Titan, and I'm about to Ram you."

The Ram and Titan is probably a Superbowl 34 reference(maybe) I don't get the emerald part.

Yep the first one is spot on, the first one is a reference to famous Chef Emeril Lagasse, who's catch phrase is "Bam!".

@thatguywithheadphones: How many stars (out of five) would you give The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl #1?

2.5

While it did capture the character and was humorous(its main intention), the art was a bit jarring especially the faces. Though I'll admit it captured the toon. My biggest gripe is that some of the zaniness felt forced.

P.s That a** was fat.

@thatguywithheadphones: I agree the art was kind of off-putting, and not all of the humor was to my liking. I'm going to give it a second read before deciding whether or not to follow the series.

P.S. Hell yeah!

@xwraith:

What are your top five anime and manga?

Anime -

  1. Kids on the Slope -It's an emotional an intrinsic story of male friendship mixed in with an amazing Jazz backdrop and has some of the best use of rotoscope I've ever seen. Also it has the most smile inducing ending ever.
  2. Gunbuster and Diebuster - Being a TTGL fan, I believe you should definitely check this out, as it's one of TTGL pivotal points of inspiration. Just like it's successor, it has a great mixture of absurdity and heart .
  3. Cowboy Bebop - It has the greatest mixture of cool and thoughtful I've ever seen. Yoko's music compliments the series with it's amazing variety, timing, and style. It's animation still hold up as one of the best despite being almost 20 years old.
  4. The Count of Monte Crisco - Visually, it's really is just an amazing experience, seriously just look at this.
Loading Video...

5. Baccono - A very Guy Ritchie-esqe romp, Baccono is a very unique series in the median of anime . It's a 1930's New York heist film its heart and it's has the most likable cast of seen, litterally, everyone is likable to some degree.

Manga -

  1. Jojo's Bizarre Adventure
  2. Berserk
  3. Magi
  4. Animal Land
  5. Goodnight Punpun

What's the first manga you can remember reading?

Shaman King, fount it in my school library when I was in 3rd grade.

Favorite CBM?

Snow Piecer - It made an Evens fan out of me.

@thatguywithheadphones: I'm currently in the process of watching Cowboy Bebop (at Scorpion's recommendation). And I've heard a lot of good about Gunbuster.

The first manga I can remember reading was Rave Master, which I also found in my school library. I don't remember much of it. The first I read all the way through was Hellsing.

Snowpiercer is on my list of movies to watch.
