Poll X-Men vs Avengers: Movie Feud (7 votes)

X-Men 43%
Avengers 100%

Which film do you think did a better job at representing their respective team and its characters? Singer's 2000 X-Men film or Whedon's 2012 Avengers film? We are talking only about the two films, not any tie ins or sequels.

Also, which did you like more? Which had the better action scenes? Better Villain? Magneto or Loki??

Avengers stomp.

1. Money Talks.

2. Acting shows.

3. Popularity-Fanbass-Anticipation-Appreciation confirms.

Avengers had a lot of advantages going in...

And they paid off.

Avengers easily.

Here's my two cents:

Plot wise: X-Men. Magneto's plan was better than Loki's Thanos' minion

Villain wise: Mckellan's Magneto>>>Hiddleston's Loki (sorry fangirls)

Action wise: Avengers. That end battle is hard to beat.

Effects: Avengers. Mostly due to a larger budget and a 12 year gap in technological achievements.

As for the Heroes: Tie. The Avengers have more characters I like, but Jackman's Wolverine beats them all imo.

As for which I like more, it's actually X-Men. The first half of Avengers was kinda boring really.

Bonus round: Nearly naked Rebecca Romijn Mystique>>>Not nearly naked enough Scarlett Johansson Widow

This, except for the ones I underlined.

Bonus: Avengers is actually a team Movie.

The X-Men movies should basically be called "Wolverine and The X-Men"

At least in the Avengers every character got their fair share of screen time.

Equal pros and cons for both, honestly.

It's kind of weird to compare the two films. X-Men didn't really achieve what The Avengers did, but it wasn't meant to either. I think The Avengers is probably the better film, though.

Not really fair to compare.

12 years later the movie industry put alot more into their comicbook based movies after the success of the X-Man and Spider-Man movies.

Also Avengers is apart of a franchise MCU. They had four movies to get you to Avengers.

I agree with all the logical answers people already gave. They are tough to compare as there is so much time in between and there was a lot of advancements in effects and the super hero movie genre altogether.

The X-Men movies should basically be called "Wolverine and The X-Men"

At least in the Avengers every character got their fair share of screen time.

In fairness, The Avengers and from what we have seen of the sequel can be considered "Iron Man and some other white people"

@cattlebattle: That's a stretch since there's only been 1 Avengers movie.

Avengers by far, for me. If we put X-men: Days of Future Past up against Avengers on the other hand...

@cattlebattle: That's a stretch since there's only been 1 Avengers movie.

I stated....and I am quoting myself here "what we have seen of the sequel". Iron Man is centric to it from what we know. We also know he builds Ultron...the main villain of the film.
