butter/jelly within 2 slices of bread cuz that is a sandwich. if you mean a slice of bread with pb on it or jelly i can take both. but a pb covered sandwich?? how would i eat it??
Would you rather have just a Peanut Butter Sandwich or a Jelly Sandwich

I find it interesting how 'Muricans call jam 'jelly'.
Ditto. I'm Dutch and even we call it jam :p

your jelly = our jam
our jelly = your jello
I have figured this out over time.
@umbrafeline: thanks ya i forgot those, r there others???
When i was young and I heard they had peanutbutter and jelly sandwiches in America I was like "WTF how do you put jelly in a sandwich?". Then I got told jelly = American Jam.
Jam in the states has a smoother consistency and spreads easily, whereas jelly clumps and spreads thicker.

In America there's Jam, Jell-O, Jelly
Jelll-O eaten on its own
Jelly and Jam both used for sandwiches but Jam way more smoother, Jelly is welll jelly.
But I would rather have a PBJ and neither of the two.
In "Merica, Jam and Jelly are two different things, Jam, is smoother, and easier to spread on bread, while Jelly is all chunky and you have to damn near stab it with a knife to get it to cover a slice of toast.@Lady Loveless said:

anyway, Jam sammich>>>Peanut Butter sammich
@rogue_mar1e:
I'm from Minnesota and instead of saying Jam or Jelly we say "preserves". We kind of group anything like jelly, jam, or marmalade into that title in the same way that people from the southern United States call any soda "coke".
