Let' say you have multiple kids at the ages of

  • 6
  • 10
  • 14
  • 18

I made a list of superpowers things characters have. I wanna know where you'd stop for each child.

Round 1

You tell me what number/power you'd exactly stop on

Round 2

You tell me what level they stop on, but the powers carry over (if you pick 6, the kid gets all the powers leading up to 6 as well)

  1. Superhuman Strength (Captain America level)
  2. Superhuman Speed (Captain America level)
  3. Ability to breathe underwater
  4. Slight flying ability (can only fly for short periods of time and can't fly higher than skyscrapers)
  5. X-ray Vision
  6. Invisibility
  7. Ability to control the weather (only able to make it sunny, rainy, or cloudy)
  8. Ability to gain Sharingan (Sasuke's from the original Naruto)
  9. Superhuman Strength (Spider-man level)
  10. Ability to master any fighting style
  11. Ability to master any weapon skill
  12. Gains Batman's intellect
  13. Superhuman Speed/ Flying ability (Both now Korosensei's speed (Mach 20) and no height limit)
  14. Gains Teleportation (can only teleport where he/she can see in person)
  15. Matthew's telekinesis from Chronicle (Before he was in the hospital)
  16. Ability to shape shift
  17. Gains Instant Transmission
  18. Ability to read minds
  19. Adamantium Skeleton
  20. Matthew's Telekinesis (after the hospital)
  21. Complete control of the weather
  22. Ability to breathe/survive in space
  23. Ki Control/Output (Roshi's level in Dragon Ball)
  24. Superhuman Speed/ Flight (Wonder Woman level)
  25. Gains the abilities of Shazam
  26. Ki Control (Goku's level)
  27. Ability to fly as fast as Superman
  28. Ability to grow as big as Galactus
  29. Can run as fast as Flash
  30. Ability to destroy the universe
  31. Gains every known power from every fictional character
  32. Ability to find me a girlfriend

It's a bit random, and I think the main ones are in order, but I just wanna know. What would you allow your kids to have?

Giving kids and teenagers superpowers is not a good idea.

if my kid had superpowers and my wife was a normal Human then obviously it isn't my kid. But for the sake of the argument I'll let my kid have all the powers...including the last one, for your sake bro.

6. Ability to Breathe underwater (we find this out by accident)

10. Batman's Intellect

14. Gains abilities of Shazam

18. The rest, because puberty gave him all the powers

That only true if we assume superpowers are hereditary. Maybe your kid was just the first generation of human who evolved to the point were we have special abilities.

If other children have superpowers, then I would want my children to have the most and the most powerful of them all.

At first blush, no superpowers for children and teenagers, unless they've demonstrated a certain level of maturity; this would not happen until about 13, in most cases; these children and teenagers would have decided to finish school, shown great discipline and commitment towards that goal, had a plan for after leaving high school, and shown great discipline and commitment towards that goal, and likely to achieve such goals based on a certain level of maturity; basically, a kid with the potential to be accepted into an Ivy League school or a strong desire to be such a student but for a bit of lack of talent; kid lacks arrogance and has great humility and respect; basically, the qualities of a genuine child who avoids trouble. At first blush, no superpowers for adults either, unless they've demonstrated a certain level of maturity, along with the character to have such abilities, based on a different set of evaluation criteria (e.g. basically, the character of someone like Billy Graham, TD Jakes, Michael Youssef, or, someone constantly striving to do what is acceptable to Jesus, despite the slip ups every now and than, etc, literally, Christian and Jesus Christ approved); or, the adult can get his/her power from the dark side and curse their souls to destruction, of course, just like real life, if the person doesn't want to strive to be a follower of Jesus for religious or other reasons; except, the powers from the dark side are not as powerful, accurate, and precise, just like real life; thus, someone who acquired the powers as a child would escape this requirement or have a loophole, sort to speak; except, children cannot acquire their super powers from the dark side; if a child tries to acquire the powers from the dark side or is directed with the goal to one day acquire the powers from the dark side by anyone, that person will be forever barred from acquiring superpowers from any source.

Could be from a genetic mutation. Most X-men has 'normal' parents but their kids turn out as mutants. Maybe both you and your wife have unexpressed genes that could translate into powers. Or, adoption, in the case of Supes.

I'd stop at either 4. Letting them fly means less gas for me.
