I find you question slightly flawed? (no offense) If you had to? Everyone should if they had to. Its the definition of what entails the circumstance that you had to that is somewhat more intriguing i believe.
Not unless it is completely necessary. Even in a fight for your life circumstance, to incapacitate your opponent is always the better option than to have blood on your hands. Unless, you know, its someone like Leatherface coming after you, then go for it.

Thats the truth! There aren't many actual situations where death is the only choice or option you have, incapacitation on the other hand.
May have been in a situation or more, alls I can say is its somewhat impossible to determine in advance actually, even if you think you have. When in such a fast and immediate scenario, the mind tends to reel in different ways, particularly in whether it chooses the fight or flight mechanism. For personal reasons I'm holding what my reaction was, but I'll say I hope that none of ever find yourselves in such a situation. You all deserve better lives.
only if i were to get in a fight and more often than not i avoid fights// b/c i was taught to never fight unless you plan to win and are willing to do just that.
that's what my master told me and was reinforced in the military.. plus no mercy and "stomp, crack that skull!"
