Would this be your costume

This will be an ongoing thread where I place a pic of a superhero and you would be said superhero. Would the costume be practical to you as a hero/villain in todays era or just something that doesnt quite sit well with you. (ie, I wouldnt be caught dead with such an item on my costume so I would edit it out)

We will move on to next costume after I see ten people give "keep" or "edit" If you want to give a reason of why it would be great

We shall start off real simple with likely everyones kid pajamas, classic Superman costume

Just to point out some basic stuff here, which I wont be doing after this initial pic:

• very patriotic looking with the red and blue
• the outside underwear is there for what reason
• the cape. why would I need it. Im bullet proof already so its not really a function. I can fly anyways so it doesnt aide me, right?
• no mask. Its not like it matters cuz no alot hurts me but the Clark Kent glasses just isnt a real costume to me

Edit. Too bright, stealth would go outta the window. Cape extremely impractical. Plus the spandex + underwear combo, although iconic, would look ridiculous in real life.

I would fit more in something that is very red

Edit: The cape is unnecessary. The belt, too. What is it holding up exactly? As for the S symbol, sure why not keep it, it's a matter of taste, I guess. The material would have to be the kind that the sun can penetrate due to the source of Superman's powers. If not, a man thong is in order, for logic's sake.

Edit. Design (colors, items) needs to change because I don't want to be a Superman copy. Might still wear an S because I am a super hero with all of Supes' powers after all, and if we assume that I've never heard of Superman, it's fine the way it is. Keep.

No thank you. No need for outside undies, no need for a cape, and the whole outfit is way to tight for my taste, I prefer looser/baggy/more relaxed fit clothes.

So lose the cape, lose the outside undies, loose the S symbol and change the blue to black and the red to grey, make the sleeves short sleeve, and make the pants a little more loose fitting and id be good to go lol

Next up Wolverine's yellow and blue

Edit. If I'm Wolverine I want a nice jacket to protect me from the elements and some pockets to put equipment in. Maybe an overall brown color scheme, with a jumpsuit or cargo pants. Comfortable, but no jeans or wife beater or anything. The overpowering yellow and blue color scheme is unnecessary. Maybe I'd use a prominent yellow and blue belt or sash to show my affiliation with the X-men. I'm just throwing ideas at the wall here. Point is, I wouldn't want to wear that. I'd probably opt for the Ultimate costume first.

Edit: Far too tacky. Make all that yellow black or grey--just something darker for stealth.

Edit. Those boots with those fins or whatever are just way too much. The color scheme is cool, as is the pattern. Those shoulder pad lookin things need to go as well.

Dat underwear though. How will villains take him seriously? I'm glad in Man of Steel they got rid of that ridiculous undies over his suit.

The head wings and boot fins are ridiculous. Same problem I had with Superman in regards to the belt. Same with the underwear. Shoulder curlymabobs I can't make heads or tails of. The entire get up is confusing, the cat like stripes don't serve any purpose. Unless this is to confuse the opponent, in which case, leave this as is. It's perf.

Yeah I guess, but I would definitely lose the head wings and boot wings.

Edit: The ears are a bit over-the-top, and for a character like Wolverine stealth is your friend. You don't get much stealth in a bright yellow costume.

okay, the thread is picking up. I hope everyone appreciates how Im not bombarding you with like 10 costumes per day. More liked the Wolverine costume over Classic Superman (remember, you are the hero) yet you guys still wanted to edit. I didnt get the fin boots and ears either.

Next up: Dagger (from Cloak and Dagger)

I think she wanted to have symbol on her chest but couldn't think of anything to close up the hole so...ya I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt.

Edit. I mean im not a girl, but I don't think having half your boobs out helps fight crime. It may distract them, though.

If I was a female than I probably would, mostly to distract people while fighting. The other reason is because i would be pretty confident about myself if I looked like that

@hammer_of_j2: Don't be fooled by the 'it's distracting' argument, it's just fan service. Let's be honest, fights realistically aren't as predictable or cleanly choreographed as on panel or the movies. Your skimpy clothes will get ripped to shreds and you'll have to fight nude. Other than that, for all intents and purposes it's impractical and looks silly. If you're on tumblr check out the Hawkeye initiative.

@axelroq: I also think in reality people would be much more distracted than they are in comics though, but I do get what you're saying. I don't know what her costume is made out of though, so if it can get completely destroyed is unknown to me.

Everyone was pretty much in agreement that Dagger's costume was more meant for Victoria Secret than fighting crime.
