Would GOD make a good President?

For this thread "God" exist and he took human form. Since he is human he has no super powers. He is a mortal man. No one knows he is God in human form. He runs for President of The United States as an Independent. He wins. This is the God from the Bible. He will think, act and speak the same way he does in the Bible. Would he make a good President in 2012? Would he be effective? What do you think?

No. I wouldn't want him to express his anger towards scientists for contradicting his holy books or towards homosexuals just for being homosexuals.

Not even slightly, unless he wasn't "just a man" (which he probably wouldn't be, since Jesus was more than just a man too, or at least had God's favor to perform miracles). As just an ordinary man, he'd be laughed at and ridiculed and nobody would agree with him, since the loudest population in the USA are the liberal/secularists, on average.

If the God in the bible was to become human with no special powers --- he would go insane. From the creator of all that is, to a lowly sin born human? That would be his version of hell I would think.

But if I am understanding the way you mean for us to -- he would be a power hungry -- self-righteous -- segregating ego-maniac who would expect those under him to sacrifice everything to the betterment of him.

Now -- if it was Jesus? That would be awesome. He would probably be pretty good assuming he's the way I understand him to be, character-wise. Hmm --- without going into to it too much, its almost as if I view God as a Republican and Jesus as a Democrat. (This is from a non-American by the way).

My answer is obvious. Jesus of Nazerath (with his powers on! free health care ftw!!) would make a decent leader, as long as the religious conversion is left out and Christianity isn't forced on us. Yawheh, would not.

I think we can already see what having the God of the Bible as a leader would look like... very much like North Korea. He'd be a needy, controlling, arbitrary, petty, and oppressive dictator. If he had access to nuclear weapons, he'd probably be inclined to use them to commit genocide on anyone who didnt accept him as their "dear leader". So, yeah, I think we're better off without that, thanks.

No, I'm one of the more "conservative" religious people here, but God's legitimacy would be undermined if he wasn't a divine authority. Especially considering the balance of power that exist in most "Presidential" governining systems.

Why would minority rights regress? If any peoples rights would regress it would be Caucasians, right?

Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals, Transgenders are minorities too. The word does not necessarily apply to ethnicities.

I'd like to see his birth certificate. I bet he's not even a US Citizen...
