We're only one more day until 2014 appears. Time to recount some of the worst musical abominations that the entertainment industry has seen fit to bless up with over the last 12 months. What were some of the worst songs released this year?

#2 Posted by Lunacyde (19458 posts) - - Show Bio

There were a lot of mediocre songs, but nothing that makes my list of worst songs EVAH

Anything Hannah Montana and Selena Gomez did this year.

I'm going to keep calling her Hannah Montana. I understand that she'll never see this post, or any of my posts, but considering how much she wants to shake that image, I like to think that she shivers whenever somebody says that name.

Hannah Montana.

@laidblack: Its called Hannah Montana and trap music isn't made for lyrical genius

blurred lines was terrible how it was so popular is beyond me

I actually don't think Wrecking Ball was bad. We Can't Stop was much worse. Blurred Lines sounded good but the lyrics were terrible.

The Fox is the sh!t. One of my favorites of the year.

It annoys me that people refer to the song as a date rape song, but completely ignore other songs which are stupidly worse to the point where it makes Robin Tickle's song sound like a love sonnet #Sarah by Tyler the Creator.

It honestly feel that some of the hate directed towards that song is because of its popularity, and the Lyrcis within it just allow hate to be justified with a venier of rationalilty.

Quebecers made a parody out of it in Bye Bye 2013. A mix of BL and Naked protestations parody. I personally dislike BB2013 its was the worst by far ... As for the song i dont like it at all.

The song was meant to be stupid, that doesn't make it bad, it made me laugh, so it did it's job.

Doesn't matter if it was meant to be stupid..OP asked what people thought was the worst song and people commented their choices. It doesn't have to have anyone's approval

#45 Posted by TheAcidSkull (18346 posts) - - Show Bio

@gambit474: I didn't tell people not to hate it, I just thought that people would find it funny and I didn't think i'd be taken seriously. Did I say that the songs here had to be approved my me lol?

Eminem's stupid Berzerk song. I actually like Eminem, but that song is painfully annoying, and it was made worse by the fact that my neighbors felt the need to blast it at every possible opportunity.

What did you think about The Marshall Mathers LP 2 as a whole ?

Honestly? I haven't gotten around to listening to the whole thing yet. I've been meaning to sit down and listen to it in its entirety, but I haven't been able to find the right combination of time and interest. I've heard 5 songs off of it as it stands right now... of them, "Headlights" stood out to me in that it felt like a bit of a lyrical step forward... "Survival" isn't especially awful or anything but certainly nothing special, a bit samey. "Rap God" has a couple of cool moments but is, as a whole, kind of annoying, I sort of liked "The Monster" once I got past the "same-old-same-old" feeling that I was getting, and, as mentioned above, "Berzerk" sucks. That's been my opinion so far, but obviously I haven't had the chance to really tear into it... probably this weekend is when I'll sit down and give it a full spin.
