@hdorman1: opinion much lol, i backed ireland over france and iam english. I think its just irish and scotish jealousy really i admit our players in rubgy/football teams etc are pampered but i dont think they are world beaters its the press in england thast the problem not the fans.

@hdorman1: in terms of sports probs are alittle jealous since england is the most successful nation of the British isles and all the other parts of Britain dont like that. For example when Britsh lions play and Brian O'Driscoll is playing with English players they are all pals, but agaisnt each other they will say how much they want to beat each other for bragging rights. I think since engaldn are generally more successfull the other parts of Britain dont like us having the bragging rights

well for one thing, Ireland isn't a part of Britain the Irish and British Lions(the correct name) was mostly made of Welsh and Irish players , and an Irish man was captain why is that when Andy Murray wins he is called British in your papers, but Scottish when he loses ? one of the top scorers on your cricket team is Irish (England) Wayne Rooney has Irish parents and you still talk about 1966

Playing for england in any sport means you have to be eligable and so in that case you have to be born here or have one britsih grandparent or parent at least so by playing for us you choose to be English. Rooney was born in England not Ireland making him in fact English thats simple legal paperwork. And thats because 1966 was a notable sporting trumph we still talk about winning rugby world cup to, but as i said before possible jealousy since why we have won both rugby and football world cups in Britain/United kingdom none of the other nations in it have won them.

The media is whats is giving you these impressions since if the team never had anything they said printed and analyzed by the Sensationalist media you wouldnt have the same view probably

If it helps every ref I've seen so far is rubbish. And I've been watching football (soccer) for 20 years, or 22 probably watched it since I was born. The only ref that looks good is our game's ref. But he's German so he's refed in proper leagues.
