Are there any celebrities that you will legitimately shed a tear for? And what rating would you give them out of 1- 100. 1 being shed a single tear, 100 being balling like baby. Or have you already cried over the passing of a celebrity?

I for one will probably shed a man tear when this great man passes:

I don't even cry for people I know, why would I cry for someone I've never met?

I agree. I wouldn't cry over any celebrities, or people I know, even my grandfather.

But... Sam Jackson though...

I think I might actually shed some tears when Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone die.

Arnold: 70

Stallone: 61

Robert DeNiro: 64

Al Pacino: 65

Jack Nicholson: 59

Christopher Walken: 69

No and no. I'm not emotionally invested in any celebrity. I suppose if enough people around me are being very emotional I might (empathy), but wouldn't on my own.

No, and personally I've never cried over a stranger dying. And why should I? I have no emotional attachment to them whatsoever.

I don't wish bad stuff on anyone, whether I know them personally or not. And I definitely can empathize with the loved ones of the deceased, but why would I cry if I don't even know you...seriously

Cry? No

I will be a very sad man when Sam J dies though

#13 Edited by The_Tree (7483 posts) - - Show Bio

Maybe with celebrities that I feel really attached to. You bet your ass I'll be weeping like a baby if I live to see Grant Morrison and Kevin Smith die.

Same. Other than him, Harley Quinn, Clementine and Emma Watson, I'm a complete sociopath.

Taylor Swift or Selena Gomez

#21 Posted by Bruxae (13905 posts) - - Show Bio

Not really, I dont know them personally and I rarely cry. But you never know, if someone big like Arnold dies and im feeling emotional at the time I might shed a tear.

Nope unless I know them.I will not cry.

#23 Edited by blkson (785 posts) - - Show Bio

You mean entertainers? Then no, but celebrity status is just restricted to actors and musicians.

If Nelson Mandela kicks the bucket, I will cry.

Celebrities only die if they allow it, right? Because they get tired of living on this earth?

#26 Edited by Marionettegeist (1912 posts) - - Show Bio

No. I just don't really care enough. Though I'll be kinda sad when some people die, I'm not gonna cry.

Won't cry, but I'll probably just feel bummed out, like I did when James Gandolfini or Roger Ebert passed on. I'd definitely feel that way if some of my favorite rappers (Nas, Em, Hov, Ye) or comic writers/artists (Morrison, Hitch) died.

#30 Edited by NorrinBoltagonPrime21 (5907 posts) - - Show Bio

I don't like many celebrities to begin with.......

#31 Posted by Knightfall225 (1995 posts) - - Show Bio

@veshark: yea same here I would be bummed if the real hip hop people like Hov Em and Ye died.

#32 Posted by Ostyo (7934 posts) - - Show Bio

It'll be a sad day when Clint Eastwood passes.

#33 Posted by ThatGuyWithHeadPhones (11126 posts) - - Show Bio

Cry? For a stranger? I mean, celebrities are characters... you don't really know what they are like, just their public image. How could anyone cry over that?

I'm kind of a p***y in that regard: I cry easily, whether I'm sad or just straight empathy, but I would never cry for a celebrity, aka a rich person whom I saw through a monitor.

#37 Posted by Avenging-X-Bolt (13190 posts) - - Show Bio

No. No disrespect meant.

#38 Edited by batpala (339 posts) - - Show Bio

I bawled my eyes out when Christopher Reeve died, same with Heath Ledger [mainly because I'm from the same city as him and it just was completely shocking]

#39 Posted by rhone20 (2 posts) - - Show Bio

No! But I sympathise in the family.

#40 Posted by Tyrus (1100 posts) - - Show Bio

This may be a bad thing to say (now), but everyone just imagine what would happen to people if Stan Lee dies...

#41 Posted by JohnnyGat (1569 posts) - - Show Bio

I've felt sad before but never cried, the saddest I've been over a celebrity death was probably with Michael Clarke Duncan but even then it was simply put a "damn man that sucks" kind of sad.

#42 Posted by JonSmith (3996 posts) - - Show Bio

Does Ryan Davis count as a celebrity?

#43 Edited by MonsterStomp (18130 posts) - - Show Bio

Does getting all glassy eyed count? That's what I felt when Michael Jackson passed :(

I wouldn't cry over the death of that guy that sold me a bike that one time and a celebrity is no different.

#50 Posted by Tyrus (1100 posts) - - Show Bio

@rogueshadow: @ccraft: Well, the whole world will go crazy no doubt. Just imagine how many "dedicated to Stan Lee" writings would appear at the end of every Marvel film.
