I never understood this.
Why is it harder to give women the death penalty than men?
Cause girls rock. I mean, if the justice system is more lenient to us then the other sex then you know. :).

The same reason why black men receive the death penalty more than white men--our brains are lazy and they create shortcuts (stereotypes) that we reinforce on a daily basis.
Is this specifically referencing the US Death Penalty system? Plenty of places where its pretty easy for woman to get stoned to death for some "heinous crime" but presuming we are talking USA, don't personally have a great, in-depth intimate knowledge on the attitudes towards death penalty and statistics in all the other countries where its common, like Sudan, Somalia, China, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, maybe we should just assume woman are treated wonderfully there? No, okay. Maybe its to do with overlapping reasons why its harder to give white men the death penalty? As in black people and Hispanics are over represented statistically?
Maybe societies collective attitudes about biases, prejudices, discrimination, passive, active, conscious, subconscious, trivial, significant aren't absolutely perfect or logical or reasonable… and likely aren't ever going to be absolutely perfect or logical or reasonable, thats a pretty lofty goal, but they can improve considerably. On a group level and individual level. Good news is its already improving and has been, slowly and steadily, so sometime in the future the ratio of death penalty gender wise will be improved… oh wait if we look at certain countries that lead the world in education, personal freedoms, lack of corruption, quality of life, economic growth, personal well being, they don't even have the Death Penalty. Crazy.
Its because people look and say,What's wrong with her?Why she do it?Is there something to drive her to do it??
Men never get those questions.
Just like male teachers get hit with the book.Females teachers??Lol don't make me laugh.I know so many guys who say they will have no problem if a teacher slept with their 14/15/16 year old sons.
Now when I ask if their daughters were the teenagers, they say they will kill the male teacher.Sh!t is real.
@vivide: also really old people
@bluejay4: I already made it in my first post. How we view women today hasn't changed much at all since then. They are still considered more delicate and in need of protection which is why we subconsciously doubt they are capable of heinous crimes and do not desire to sentence them to death.
It's not.
And if it is, it's because a man never likes seeing a good p!@&y or @$$ go to waste
@dngn4774: Sexual dimorphism is much more than just that, it explains why we as humans behave the way we do and how it arose to that in the first place. Females are the weaker sex and have evolved in ways to manipulate men for protection. Not some evil women hating patriarchy at work here.
I can't explain it either. But I suppose it's something similar to why I'd hold the door fare more often for a woman.
@bluejay4: Gender roles are social constructs. In Latin America their were three sexes before Europeans tortured and arrested berdaches for not acting like men. The idea that all interactions between male and females are entirely prejudged by biology does is ridiculous. No type of evolutionary development erases the legacy of history, culture, society, civilization, etc.
Because women are superior to men. It is sexist. I know. This is what I believe in. Women are superior than men and in my honest opinion everyone secretly believes this. There is a double standard for a reason. (+)
@dngn4774: Women are weaker and Men are stronger, Women give birth men do not, Women have breasts mem do not... These gender roles are simply human nature.
None of that has anything to do with women facing the death penalty, unless you're suggesting a correlation between breasts and capital punishment acquittals? Are men more likely to get lethal injection because they have testicles?
I don't know if it's really the case or not, but if it is - i'd put it on humanity being biased. Females has a long history of being perceived as something that needs extra protection and care, originally it was probably because women was seen as property to be won in order to procreate the strongest offspring, and over time and evolution it has been intergrated into our society to the point where even most women at some level accept it. No matter our intelligence our basic instincts always have the final say and influence in what we become and we will always find a way to justify it, whether it's about procreation, hunting and gathering or survival.
