Why is it despicable to hit a woman

Because men are usually larger/stronger than women.

Because they tend to be more weaker and fragile than the average man.

Same reason you wouldn't hit a child or an animal, in most cases women can't fight back.

Your right you shouldnt hit a child.

If you have a valid reason to hit them you can hit anyone regardless of size,creed,colour,religion,gender.origin or intellect if you have a good enough reason (ie self defense or in the best interest of another's life and the likes) you can hit anyone, children will likely be small enough to restrain without knocking there block off.

Im getting offensive because you suggested that women are in the same league as small animals and children, believe it or not your gender is capable of competently defending itself and if you cant you can learn how. your first and second post both had highly sexist components thats why i was a little pissed off.

Go back and look at your first post and then tell me it isnt sexist, you said you shouldnt hit women because they cant defend themselves, which is crap and your second post says usually women wont but that very same thing could be said for men so thats sexist too and the worst part was when you said that you cant be sexist because you are a woman.
