Why I hate comedy?

So my friend wants to see Guardians of the Galaxy tomorrow, god help me. It looks silly as hell and chocked full of jokes, which I hate. I always hate movies like this. Why ?

Do you hate all comedy? I understand not liking cheesy comic book comedy, I don't find that funny either. But all comedy? As in absolutely nothing makes you laugh? Lol is that even possible?

I don't understand...are you asking US why you don't like something? The majority of people who saw it seem to like it. If you don't like comedy don't see it. It wasn't filled with random jokes like Ironman 3 where 2 seconds after something devastating happens he makes a joke. Rocket is funny and Peter Quill is like he is personality wise like in the comics.

No one can answer that for you but i'll try it's either you are a miserable person and do not like laughing, or you haven't watched the right movie/show.....I'm not a big comedy fan either but movies like Clerks usually do it for me

There was 1 moment like that in GotG, right before the final show down with Ronan....not going to spoil it though for those that haven't watched it yet.

I liked it. Wasn't complaining about it. Was just pointing out how silly it was right at the climax of the movie.

@w0nd: well I found the Movie humorous but I was trying to solve our friends problem of not being able to laugh at comedies. And yes that green whore comment was one of the funnier moments in the movie lol

I'm the same way, but this movie suprisingly had some funny moments. Mainly from, "Drax". It also has some tear jerkers.

It's fine that you don't like comedy. Just realize comedy doesn't like you very much either.

@jay0253: Yeah, I think my friends found Drax to be a funnier character than Rocket, which seems weird if you only read the comics.

see with Drax though he isn't trying to make jokes, so I am fine with that, he is just so literal it comes off as funny. lol, that's different then pepper falling to her death, tony being mad for 2 mins and then cracking another joke. I guess it depends for me if the character is making the jokes, or if the scene is just funny in general. That and groot gasping after rocket mocks drax about his family being dead I did notice they sort of reused an avengers scene, of groot one shotting the troops, and smashing them repeatedly like hulk did to loki. That was hilarious to me

Jesus Christ i just saw this gackfest. Every time something interesting like politics was mentioned , it was thrust aside for more I am Groot stupidity. Don't forget dance scenes and stupid climaxes. I paid to see this instead of Apes?!!!!! This effing sucked!!!!!

Also, Chris Pratt is ugly and makes me look like a god.
