Why do people watch Bieber? Why is Twilight a blockbuster? Not because it sucks doesn't mean it gets ignored. It's entertaining to some. Especially the pop fans. It's all a matter of their taste.

Some people are into "musical" adaptations of songs. I don't think its necessarily a bad show, I just personally hate musicals.

i guess some just like it, although most of my friends who watch it are in to theater so i guess its the theatrical aspect of it, i personally hate it because
A. i hate musicals
B. the entire cast is annoying and cliche
C. although it's trying to be a comedy...it's not funny
D. sometimes they just butcher and/or pop-alize songs i normally like

All depends on taste dude, don't think the show would of succeeded if it was just original songs, they do do original songs occasionally, but imo, they're a bit meh

I've never seen it but there's no reason to hate, yo. If you don't like something, don't watch it. Simple as that.

@ssejllenrad: I think comparing it to the Biebs is a little harsh. At least the people on the show are talented.

Well don't judge people who watch Glee because they are doing it for the same reason that 99.9% of us read comics - to liove vicariously through other people's lives. They say that Spider Man and the X-Men got so popular because they represented groups of outsiders that felt different and this appealed to a certain fan base. Glee is no different, basically for people who want to relive (or live) their high school years vicariously in which they are cool and popular.

The songs and the humor. Glee would be obsolete if not for the songs and completely dry humor. Because the acting is bad and everything else plot wise not spectacular

@RazzaTazz: But you don't have to live vicariously through the cast of glee because You can go outside with friends and do what they do, I will agree about living vicariously through superheroes though.

But that's Just It, I can't go outside and unsheathe my claws and kill people (I don't have superpowers).

@unrealgamer38: Agreed, but the question is why do other people watch glee, not me. I dont watch it myself, never seen an episode. I sort of chalk it up to the same reason people like to facebook stalk people from their high school

@unrealgamer38: Only four years out of high school most people that I know there were already on anyway. I hear of others doing it though as some form of vindication.
