Yeh, it's the flag.

So... the solution would be to change the flag?

They can. British people created English. Anyway they say something is the correct way.

Unless you mean English speakers in general.

Cause in America, we use all the letters in a word to pronounce it. (Well, mostly.)

The nt is understated, or silent if you're lazy. Roll the r. The e makes an "ay" sound. Emphasis on the final syllable.

I have a heck of a time saying it like a francophone. I have a stiff English mouth.

Montréal is in America and French is a spoken language in America (In fact it was there before english).

@killerforhire: @darthmummy The T is in fact silent bruhs.

Countries have different ways of pronouncing names. In America we don't acknowledge the accent over the "e" and create a long "a" sound. Its just Montreal to us. Not a big difference anyway.

In French the US is États-Unis, so every language does things differently.

@mysticmedivh: Mont Royal and that's why the t is silent, we don't pronounce the t whenever we say Mont.

@jayc1324: But are we saying Nouveau York or Nouveau Jersey? Nope. Perhaps the reason why they say États-Unis is because that's not a real country name.

@blacklegraph Has nothing to do with Indépendantistes. So let it go........................................

@rubear Say what?

Why do foreigners say America (which is the name of the land) when the country is called the United States? That's just the way it is.

@jayc1324: First of all that's a other bad example and second of all it's has nothing to do with translating. If they tryed to translate it the name would be Roy-Mount.

@comicsrulebutdbzdoes2: Dfanboys opinions are not revelant so meh.

@jayc1324 Take out your fancy blindglasses and see that the name of Montréal is not Roy-Mount atm. Now how is it wrong? You are trying to take the wrong to a right by showing a other english peep stuff because let's face it, France was there first.
