Why are they making a supergirl tv show?

Like seriously she is so similar to Clark that it might get repetitive after a while, especially when it is a tv show. Couldn't they bring like Catwoman tv show or Teen Titans?

The Catwoman character is already reserved for Gotham and DC is working on a Titans TV show.

@elderskaar: committing to a few episodes at a couple million per is much easier than committing to a $200 million movie. And we all know how reluctant WBDC is about giving big movies to not-super or not-bat characters. Maybe in 10 years or so if the DCCU is successful, we'll get a Titans movie.

Because the DCCU had nothing better to do than focusing on anything related to Batman Superman and Wonder Woman to make money.

Yeah I don't know. I prefer movie adaptations because of the much better quality. Of course there are exceptions, but this show looks like it's gonna suck. It seems like a quick cash grab. Everyone is trying to make a live action super hero show nowadays.

I'll give you this: Seasons two, three, and five actually make for decent television. Seasons one and four are tolerable. Everything else is crappy. I enjoy the show, but I'd be lying if I said I thought it was good.

I think DC is doing us a favour in all of this, you've got the big league on the big screen and another on the small screen, you'll see arrow, flash,supergirl, titans and even firestorm etc more than you might see batman or superman in the next 5 years. So quit complaining, it's not like RDJ hasn't shown up a hella lot if times in the past 7 years
