Michael Myers. The original psycho, not the Tyler Mane version (even though I like him in the first Halloween re-make and hospital scene in H2.)

The Abominable Dr. Phibes! Because...

1. He was played by the Great Vincent Price
2. He had style and panache.
3. He was supported by a beautiful assistant.
4. He was the first movie villain I ever saw who, largely, succeeded, while also getting away in the end.
5. He did even better in the sequel.

ah ok nm lol I didnt know. Not a huge fan of Myers so wasnt sure.

@ssejllenrad: Me too but other than the masks they're silent and lumbering with blade weapons and white mask.

@Gambler: Jeremy Jahns says he's creepy as hell and is actually scarier looking then he looks in the trailers. I'm really hoping he does good because we need more famous horror villains.

Jason has more kills, more UNIQUE kills and more personality than that boring Myers

I would of said Predator but he is more sci fi than horror.

Then you got the one horror movie icon who gave me constant nightmares when I was a young boy. His name is Michael Myers. Something about not seeing his emotions just makes him utterly terrifying.

But I'm going to give it to the croaking demon ghost from Ju-on: -

You don't get much more terrifying than her.
